  1. I thought the issue was the normal pump cavitates and that was the reason why they made the n1 pump which flows less to prevent it.
  2. The factory diff is a 2 way plated lsd just like all the aftermarket ones (including nismo) cheapest and easiest is to have your diff rebuilt with nismo plates
  3. To get around that the paint shop usually asks for the fuel flap and matches it to that
  4. I replaced every bush with white line in mine and was the best thing I ever did. I also rebuilt the factory diff with the nismo plates and that made a huge difference as well
  5. BCs are usually known for being pretty stiff, mca have a budget brand they make now and might be worth looking at
  6. Started installing the inlet manifold put the first part on along with the drive by wire motor then the throttles and adjusted rod for the throttles then the new nismo plenum went on, I didn’t take the lugs off because I like the original finish
  7. Just use an rb25 turbo box
  8. Rear wheel drive or four wheel drive?
  9. They are labeled wrong, a gtst mount and a gtr mount are completely different
  10. That’s why the passenger side is solid
  11. I guess the verdict is still out, it could have just felt stiffer because they were new but then again they could actually be different
  12. Yes, I fitted an astra power steering pump in the boot when I put the single turbo on, I looked at a few options of using the original but wasn’t happy with any of it and just chose to get rid of it
  13. If I’m lucky I might be running it in by then, not sure if there are any entries left though
  14. fitted the ac compressor and shifted it forward onto where the power steering belt used to run fitted the new passenger side mount, hopefully I won’t be breaking this one in a hurry fitted a nismo mount on the drivers side, I know they’re probably just stock ones but I had it so I fitted it
  15. I know the pain of making a 3in hose fit over an 80mm pipe, I have a Japanese pipe kit on mine and just made a new pipe to replace the turbo engine side one. It’s worked really well so far. IF it starts failing I’ll look to replace it after that
  16. Nice effort, that’ll definitely slow the car down a little bit!! I’m sure some gorilla glue would see that ready to go again lol
  17. The .84 rear on my stock bottom end 2.6 with vcam and e85 was all in at 4,100 and was an absolute weapon on the street, I only used the high boost twice and once it tried to kill me (turned out to be a transfer issue)
  18. Thanks I hope so. I’ve done so much parts collecting while waiting for the engine and I just hope I haven’t missed anything apart from AN hoses and fittings
  19. grabbed a new nismo thermostat and fitted it grabbed new timing cover bolts and washers then fitted the timing cover along with the oil pump and alternator
  20. Bolt turbos on it and send it, I’ve seen plenty of them run for years with results worse then that, including my own. Then build an engine on the side and do a swap when you get around to it
  21. Grabbed a brand new genuine water pump And fitted it to the engine with my electroplated bolts and powder coated alternator bracket
  22. Turned the engine over, to have a bit of a look as You can see the oil squirters go back in with the billet block then I threw the sump on with a brand new set of bolts, something I have noticed is if you use a billet block, you need to invest in some bottoming taps as the blind threads have not been cut deep enough
  23. Youd think that then you Jack it from there and the spot welds let go and the panel folds up, there’s a lot of weight on that spot if you Jack it up from there
