  1. R35 or similar card MAFs are not period correct bruvvvaaaaaaaa..
  2. Everyone knows a RB when they see a massive catch can, breathers, left right and centre, monitoring for oil pressure, oil temp, etc. and more monitoring on everything. 700kW Supra, cam covers -> intake pipe, meh.
  3. But it looks RB tough...! Supra guys just run catch cans the size of catch cans, looks weak. Even my GTS-t shit box has a 5.5L catch can oil tank LOL
  4. I sure did, and it transformed the AC. So much colder now, also there's less heat generated on the condenser. The old one must have been clogged as it was warped/bent. They've doubled in price on Amayama
  5. I run these in my shit box, seen plenty of track days, skidpans, 8k RPM launches, etc. with the first 2x motors. https://www.vibra-technics.com/nissan/skyline_r32_r33_r34_gt_gtr_gts_t/623/NIS240M_kit/engine_mount_r33_gts_t_rb25det_r34_gtt And you guys know, I thrash my car when I can at the track. Still using the same mounts, some slight vibration but nothing like a car with solid urethane ones. I get a bit of a rock with the idle braps too, extra hard c()nt at the lights. Might be worth putting in better engine mounts(?), sounds like the stock OEM Nismo branded ones might tear with all the powahs.
  6. Plan B, buy a M2 Comp. Will end up costing less, faster and be more reliable than a built Nissan on the track.
  7. Progress is progress, means you might even make it to All Jap Day in November haha
  8. Better off just chopping off the stock flange then getting a DBW flange welded on. This would allow easier spark plug, coil management etc.
  9. Should be a weapon mate! The upped comp just makes the SR much more urgent, especially with VCT. The power comes on so hard and fast, I suspect very fun to drive and also not very good at trying to maintain traction lol. I had to tighten the straps on the dyno as it lit up the RE003 coming on boost.
  10. Random news, my mate's S15 with a GTX2860R Gen 2 went back onto the dyno for me to retune since his last motor let go (stock). Now has a 9:1 comp built motor, with now smaller 256° Tomei Japan Poncams in lieu of the 258° Fake Tomei US Poocams (which aren't event Tomei to begin with). Car makes somewhat similar max power at 252kW (managed same 1st time I tuned it at Haltech but had lean out issues) but has picked up power throughout the rev range. Has done a 270kW on the same dyno but on a 10° cold day. Makes 1.2bar of boost at 3000rpm and by 3500rpm has 180kW to use. Over all, timing is much flatter than before with 21 degrees of timing peak power. Note, this car is a Wakefield Park/Luddenham tracksloot/Wet Skidpan/Weekender kind of car. I did convince my mate he should put on a bigger turbo, the smaller duration cams and higher comp has really moved everything to the left (not a bad thing). He messaged me last night and said the drive home made his hands all sweaty LOL. Now Before
  11. You're in NSW, just drop it off at Smithfield Diff & Gearbox, the brothers there will look after you. They know their Nissans inside out. Yes their website sucks, but they're not short on customers either. http://www.diffandgear.com.au/
  12. So looking around at prices, my lord.... Nankang CR-S cost more than Nankang AR-1 and Hankook Z232 (RS-4). I think I'm going to get Hankook Z232 RS-4 next. For a 265/35/18 tyre: $489 Yoko A052 https://ozmx5.com.au/products/advan-a052-ultra-high-performance-tyre-18-sizes?variant=40076876218517&currency=AUD $390 Nankang CR-S https://tyres.geniepowered.com.au/product/nankang-cr-s-265-35r18-97y/ $330 Nankang AR-1 https://sleekaspares.com.au/product/265-35r18-nankang-ar-1-competition-semi-slick-tyre/ $290 Hankook RS-4 https://www.tempetyres.com.au/tyreproducts?hankook-2653518-97w-ventus-rs4-z232 Makes the decision a bit easier I think. @WantGTR I have a mate with a 4G63T in his Mirage and he rates those tyres too for just straight line grip, haven't heard of anyone use them as a street -> circuit tyre though.
  13. Same experience here too, went from a 19 row Mocal core (sandwiched between FMIC & A/C condenser) to a 25 row Setrab cooler in the driverside front duct/bar area. Water temp never got past high 90s on a warm day at Wakefield Park doing at least 6~8 hot laps per session (until the tyres gave way). Oil temperature would have been max 110.
  14. Looks like it really performs, just need a track review from him.
  15. I've been eying off the Nankang CR-S (CR-1 in other parts of the world). The Porsche fellas seem to like them, they said it's as good as AD08R and that's a good sign. I'm currently using 5 year old Nankang AR-1, although good grippy tyres they sure melt fast 😂 3x track days in (2x at Wakefield and 1x at Luddenham) plus a few anti lag launches and a small donut or two and they're on the tread indicators. Either that or Hankook RS-4 and call it a day.
  16. standard Skyline ownership, always a level of autistic behaviour involved. I don't want more than 300kW, nek minnit built motor dis dat.
  17. sell the turbos, buy a turbo. To be honest, since the turbos are out, you might as well just go single and at the same time get rid of the PowerFC, AFM, and any outdated parts like the injectors and fuel pump.
  18. Really liking that ATR43SS3, results are excellent.
  19. For the twin turbo boys/girls.
  20. Sigh..... another day, another filled shopping cart for this shit box.
  21. And perfect idle control with big cams and AC!
