  1. I've been mounting sensors in sandwich plates across various cars for the past 15 or so years, never had a sensor fail yet.
  2. With the added benefit that the Nistune would let the OP keep is stock appearance as well.
  3. You could install the -9 turbos, turn the boost down and put it on the dyno to check the mixtures to ensure everything is safe. The haltech would be hidden behind the passenger side kick panel. If whoever is inspecting the car pulls that panel off, they would spot the aftermarket ecu.
  4. A wastegate like this will allow you to adjust the boost by changing out the springs. This wastegate comes with a 7 psi spring which sounds like what your after. You can run various combinations of springs to have between 3 psi up to 26 psi. https://www.turbosmart.com/product/iwg75-uni-150mm-actuator-7psi/ Not the cheapest option as you'd need to buy 2 of these things, but if your going to keep the -9 turbos, the extra adjustability of these wastegates is nice.
  5. I found something that might be of interest to you, its not an RB20, but I think it might be of interest because its a similar capacity turbo car that revs to about 10,000 RPM. Power comes on about 6,000 RPM. Seems to be around what your looking for. I hope you've got the budget though, the turbo on its own is about $6,000.
  6. Are there any setups in the 21 pages of RB20 dyno results pages that interest you?
  7. I had a problem the other day, ran out of fuel with half a tank remaining lol. When I filled the tank it took 28 litres so 100% not a gauge issue. Random googling of my issue lead me to reading about these upgraded venturis. I don't think this is related to my issue, I was just curious what peoples experience was with upgrading the venturi. I had never even heard of them before, then reading the Radium marketing, they make it sound like everyone with an upgraded pump would need one... but if that was the case, surely I would have heard people talking about them before lol. Back to my problem though, I'll throw a borescope in my fuel tank when I get some time and confirm that the pump and its sock are exactly where they should be before I start chasing rabbits down random holes.
  8. Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has fitted something like this -> http://www.radiumauto.com/Venturi-Jet-Pump-Kit-P760.aspx ? What issues were you having that made you upgrade and did it resolve the issue?
  9. If you still want someone who can translate it for you, I can help. If you want to post it up I can just reply here with my Engrish translation.
  10. Try not to over think it, pop into your local automotive paint supplier and ask them the question. By the sounds of things you'll be using rattle cans, they'll probably only have a couple of options anyway. They can tell you if option a or option b is better suited for you.
  11. Please don't jack on the rails either. My Impreza is a 2014 so might not be the same, but I jack on the tow recovery points and stands go under the subframe.
  12. You are doing god's work saving this skyline. Bless you child.
  13. Is the tube so clear that we cant see it? =/
  14. Yep, love a good mechanical keyboard. Got a Das Keyboard Ultimate because blank keycaps are sexy af and a Logitech g815 for lights out gaming.
  15. Is there something you wanted explained or was there something you were curious about? There are plenty of resources out there if you want to learn about fuel or timing maps etc.
  16. I second this. Please get a wideband or throw it on a dyno with a decent tuner.
  17. You wont know if your at risk of breaking anything without a wideband. You'd be surprised how far out a tune can be and still feel fine while driving around.
  18. Before you start changing anything, do you have a wideband o2 gauge installed? Are you just trying to safely limp the car to the tuner or are you planning to drive the car around normally and eventually take the car to the tuner?
  19. What is your base spring pressure on your wastegate? Are those results on 98? Would you be happy to run e85?
  20. If I was you I'd do the following: 0 degrees negative camber in the rear Keep adding pressure in the rears til you can spin them as freely as you like. Your not on a public road, don't be afraid to go higher. Take them up to 70 or even 80psi. You may not need that much but the message here is don't be afraid to go higher with it. What type of clutch are you using? I'm surprised clutch kicking isn't working for you. Are you dialing in some big revs when you kick it?
  21. Ah the yellow paint of sadness The 600kw+ GTRs are breaking shit though, everything breaks eventually if you use it.
  22. No you don't need it for the car to run right. Without it plugged into the sensor, all that will happen is the stock boost gauge won't work (the sensor doesn't talk to the ECU. It talks to the dash only).
  23. Based on how random this has been for you, it sounds like it could be fuel surge. By any chance has this been happening when your at low fuel levels, and/or accelerating hard round corners or up hills? Getting fuel surge will feel like your hitting a rev limiter or boost cut etc.
