  1. I know when I changed from 260 Poncams to 250 poncams with no other change, so same lift with less duration I had the same peak power but every thing happened +/-800-1000rpm sooner in the rev range, but that was just what I experienced but since I don't grind cams for a living what would I know
  2. If your filter is shit and dirty it can easy cause 40kw loss, depending on how shit and how dirty, I haven't seen your filter so can't say if it's your issue or even part of you issue, but the filter is the only path the air has into the engine if the air can't get in it will loose power simple I am a backyard mechanic and you know why, because in the 20 years I have been working on cars I have learnt a thing or three and one of the things I have learnt is that just because you do it for a living doesn't automaticly mean you know anything, I have seen plenty of "real mechanics" that are just dumbarse farkers with no clue, even more so when it comes to so called tuners Same goes for what I do for a living, I know dudes that have been doing twice as long as me that are just useless, so don't be fooled into thinking just cause someone does something for a living that automaticly they have a clue
  3. Oil sitting in comp covers, inparticularly the rear one, is normal for a GTR because of the factory breather setup and I'd say there is oil in your BOV return pipe too What PIGGAZ said, -9s and a proper standalone
  4. Um what exactly is a -11 ? -5s on a 3.0, not to sure but my GT-RSs ( -10s ) spool the same on my 3.0 as the old -7s did on the 2.6
  5. I grout filled my RB30 block upto the bottom of the welsh plugs which worked out to be 10mm above the bottom of the stroke and use car as an allrounder with no temp issues
  6. You guys would cry if you saw what I do to my Strap On ratchets, I snapped the head off my Kingchrome breaker bar by hand but never broken a ratchet, even with a 2m pipe hangin off it undoing the wheel nuts off my truck cause the shite Milwakee 3/4 rattle gun just won't quite cut it
  7. The stock gudgeon pins are stronger then any piston you can attach them too How to you get forged Pistons without new pins ? Unless they use factory pins
  8. You have to seperate it from gear box as there is two bolts in there that bolt sump to rear oil seal housing While it could be done in car I could drive with my feet, so while it is possible it's not a good idea
  9. Thanks for that mate, I looked before but gave up cause to many pages lol So that is just a regular 23 row oil cooler with a custom air duct/protector ? Looks very nice and neat
  10. The Mitsubishi Magna of some year has a oil cooler that look exactly like that just a bit bigger and threaded inlet/outlet for those of us that are running AN fittings and PTFE braided hose, will look for pic
  11. Surge tank, it has to because the main pump out flows the Walbro E85 lift pump even after it has been slowed down
  12. PWM controlled, so depends on how it's getting driven, on track its flat out
  13. Strength and rigidity, it also stops the bore walls expanding on the power stroke
  14. Wait till you get to see its under carriage The design and work that has gone into it is amazing
  15. Those pics don't do that work of art justice Will be very interesting to see how it goes given it was still just a CAD design in March this year
  16. Oh, lol, ok cool then, I have ID1300s so I should be sweet there
  17. Sorry if I was a bit vague this mourning Pete, I was struggling to hear you, the cover on my 6+ is crap Thats interesting Mat, can you explain the o ring issue a bit more I'm in the same boat as Pete I think, the longer I was out their the more it played up 1st session car ran fine, end of second session ( 1st passenger ) it was starting to break down the 3rd session I got like 5 laps then I had to come 4 session I got 4 laps, 5th session ( the one I did a 1.04.6 in ) I couldn't even do a full hot lap I drove on to that session and the fuel was already 42deg when I came back it was just on 70 I think my issue is fuel heat soak but I am very curious to know what the O ring issue you had was and how it effected the fuel for something else for me and Pete to look in to
  18. Haha, oh ok, I don't really venture into the NSW area much, my bad, I usually check my content and recent posts and new topics them leave I do go into the event part fairly often though, was it posted in there ? I'll have to keep checking for next years ones
  19. Well I didn't even know about this event til the last round, would have liked to come see some of the rounds, and if my car was ready for the trackday that Monday instead of having to spend the weekend touching things up I would have been down for look seeThe best of what the club has is cars that will dominate every round, and how do you get an invite to compete or should I say who do you have to know ?
  20. I'm sure he is referring to Ben as am I, I do want this much "grunt" and given when I ripped up the sound deadening in my 32 there is a bodgy repair under it I felt a lot better about buying the car being able to see all joins especially knowing want I wanted to do with it
  21. Have you got a fuel cooler Pete ? It's looking to me that E85 does not like getting hot and when it does it starts to lean out the engine As for the filings, could it be simple a case of he didn't flush the tank or lines ( if using braid that is ) out properly ?
  22. Another reason I bought the one I did, all the interior and floor tar was removed so I could see all seems and so I know I have a good undamaged chassis
  23. What about mixed berry cider
  24. Way to wieght reduce I would like to see half the team back up events to show a vechicles versatility and the other half dedicated discipline to show what can be done with a certain vehicle in a certain discipline
  25. Yeah, same same, my R tunes came off Piggazs R33 onto my 34 The S Tunes from my 34 will be up for sale soon, but I'll want a bit more then this
