A car make and model might help
  2. A quick note for anyone taking their GTR to the track for the first time or if your unaware, over fill the engine oil to the middle of bump in the dipstick ( about 1 ltr ) to help reduce the chance of oil starvation, last thing we want is to see unnecessary engine damage
  3. Thanks for the kind words Pete, I love the cover idea, I might have to copy that one
  4. Fair enough, I suppose that's the truth of it, doesn't matter what the head started out as once it hits the CNC machine it all changes anyway and I'm sure the 26 head still has more after market support options
  5. I like red engine covers with raw piping, subtle and purposeful Just curious what head, 26 or NEO, there is so much talk about the NEO head being better then the 26 lately and given it hasn't been mentioned I thought I would ask Subscribed, looks like it will haul arse
  6. Yeah what Mat said Thanks for that, I will pass it on
  7. I had to machine the 32 sump to take the 34 pinion gear, so going the other way should be hassle free
  8. People buy cars for very different reasons, all of which are personal, so the final decision come down to what you want from it and why you want it I chose the 34 over the 35 mainly for the reason Ali said, sentimental and childhood dream car, I wanted a 32 ever since I watched them dominate the Aussie Turing cars and in 2002 I brought my 93 model and it was at that time I fell I love with the 34s and wanted one from then, in 2010 I purchased my 2001 VS-II I do really like the 35s and will get one one day, but these are toys for me so if I can not pay cash for it it can wait No question stock for stock the 35 wins hands down, a truely fast car straight out of the box, I just love the sound of an angry RB, but again looks and sounds are a personal thing, that's just what I like and I'm not saying the VR38 doesn't sound good cause wow they are a nice sound I just like the RB better Dollar for dollar the 35 will cost more then my 34 has to get it as fast as my 34 is and make the power my 34 does, that will change in the next few years as the 35s come down in price, the earlier 35s aren't without their own set of issues either that need addressing before been able to pump good power from them
  9. Thanks, I'm quite happy with how its turned out and the few visual mods I've done Not on a track just around roads, I really like the 35s I just find them uninspiring, like driving a real life play station But it might be different when on a track and you can drive in anger For the price difference as an over all package the 35s are still to far out there for fun per dollar, my 34 is up to $80k so far including buying the car and if I was to buy a 35 it would have to be 2013 on That's just my opinion and every one has a different one which is something you would really have to form your self from experince with the two cars
  10. A good cleaning which it sounds like you did and a Nissan gasket with hylomar should have been fine but I think the metal gaskets need perfect surfaces, but I could be incorrect
  11. Oh that sucks Are you sure its coming from the HG and not the cam seal and running around the HG Even hylomar can only do so much and if the block isn't straight then that needs to be fixed to guarantee a good seal which would unfortunately mean having the block decked
  12. I haven't run full power yet as no traction but 10.8@132mph
  13. I thought I might weigh in on this on I have Which is now a 3.0 with a responsive 458kw at all 4 So I thinking is this, the 35 is bullshit fast The 34 is every kids wet dream Growing old is manditory, growing up is optional Enough said
  14. What happened ? And we have a down side to the Black Box, only Yavus can tune it ?
  15. Sweet, see you there, looking forward to seeing this lapping So its still there, good things
  16. This, they have had long enough to enter, with a week left if they haven't entered by now tough luck if they miss out I think I saw that Lotus cruise though St Marys last week, if so, looks and sounds tough as
  17. It would be an absolute handful though
  18. Cheers, thanks guys Turbo clubman, hhmmm, a 58 is really moving
  19. Ok cool, last time I checked open wheelers where not allowed with full shel cars I need to know for sure as I know two dudes with them, one has a custom 1.9ltr blacktop 20v making 165rwkw, ( car weighs 590kgs ) and has done a 1.02 around SMSP-S and races in regularity The other has just finished building it and it has a F20 Honda S2000 motor
  20. These little SRs are calling in reinforcements Q, are Clubmans allowed ?
  21. You could use a stock scrap cam and measure the extra hieght just make sure you go a bit wider incase the new cam lobe is wider then stock, knowing the base circle would also help, I personally would rather use the new cam to get it spot on so you know you have taken enough without taking to much, but yeah there is always more then one way to skin a cat
  22. I don't know what they come with, this is a upgraded new one from the states for the 300zx, I had to modify the adjuster bracket, get a shorter belt and run a 4 gauge cable directly to battery as well as the factory loom to carry the extra charge
  23. I'm not sure by what you mean to small for a stroker, my 3.0ltr has 250 x 9.15 poncams with GT-RS twin turbos and with 28psi made 623hp at all for As for relief for cam lobes, it really should be done to suit cam which would mean you red to get cam and then see what needs removing
  24. Wow hoo, less then two weeks and car nearly ready
