1. Turbo got back the other week, And I've finally had time to go have a proper look at it Before: After: Looks much cooler now, should give a bit more power as well This was done by Stao at Hypergear free of charge (minus shipping) which is part of the amazing customer service they offer
2. I'm not sure exactly what you want? A whole new headlight assembly? The internals? Either way Nissan or Just Jap. Just Jap are probably cheaper but still far from cheap for around $600 a side
3. Go to your tuner, Tell him what you have just typed here and then get whatever ECU he says No point getting an ECU that your tuner doesnt want to touch
4. If it isnt a problem straight away with the gearbox and only appears after driving/racing for a while, then it might pay to change the clutch fluid as it does absorb moisture. Its cheap enough to do and probably needs doing anyway
5. What oil are you using and how long since it was changed? How many Km has the car done? What clutch are you using? When was the clutch fluid changed?
6. If you can wait for shipping from America then Raw Brokerage is the go. I'm running one of these at the moment http://www.rawbrokerage.com/raw-brokerage-cam-angle-sensor-cas-rb20-rb25-rb26-s1/
7. The one on the left is an rb25 one. Not sure what the one on the right is off. Z32 or CA18 I guess?
8. Those are both Mitsubishi CAS and the plug should fit both. I have had both on my car This is a Hitachi CAS: If the 2 CAS' you have pictured are in any way different, one will be an RB25 CAS and one would possibly be a CA18 CAS
9. We had the same builder originally but got pushed into having a gold coast builder. Wasnt much we could do about it and didnt think anything of it really The camera. It cost enough
10. Starter motor. Think the bush for the drive gear has to be lubricated. Theres a thread about it somewhere. Search for starter motor in tutorial/DIY section
11. Yeah pretty happy with it, still getting stuffed around with things that havent been done but are getting done now. I wont get into it, its enough of a headache as it is lol Blew my tax money on a camera rather then a diff. So far don't regret the decision Quick snap from our trip to Sydney this past week, Have a ton more but this one looked pretty good without any touch ups, so its the lucky photo that I'll use by 89CAL, on Flickr
12. So I decided to buy a 7D with my Tax money. Have some photos I took in Sydney but don't have time to play with them Here's one from Taronga Zoo that came out alright by 89CAL, on Flickr There was another more active Red Panda running around, and I got 1 great photo but theres a flare or something on the lense, not real sure what happened there but its kinda ruined the photo. He was a bit to quick in most of the other photos haha
13. FFS if they needed to be there dont you think they would wither be there or there would be threads on here littered with people who have bought nitto rods and have then had engine failures. I told you they are there to squirt a little oil at the piston on the oppoaite side to the block oil squirters to give more even cooling. Its only a small amount of oil and doesnt make a huge difference. Plenty of people running nitto roda and spool rods with no issues
14. They are oil OUTLETS. They spray a little oil under the piston (opposite side of the oil squirters) My spool rods for the 25 dont have them either. I wouldnt worry about it if youve gone to the expense of getting nitto rods I assume you have forged pistons. Plenty of people running nitto and spool rods without problems
15. This is the kit. Has a gasket as well. Dont mind the packaging. I pulled some of it out for a look
16. All I remember is everything was less than $500...... or I think so anyway lol. Think the bearing kit was around $300 but again not 100% sure. Pretty good little kit to
17. Use these guys for the bearings and synchros http://www.austtrans.com/ I went to a bearing shop in my town for a quote on a kit and he stupidly told me they get there kits from these guys and I managed to get the bearing kit and 2 or 3 synchro rings for cheaper then JUST the bearing kit was gonna cost me locally Forget who I talked to there (was at the brisbane office) but he was really helpful and I got great service
18. My turbo arrived today Stao FYI. Im in sydney at the moment but I was sent a photo. Looks a bit meaner then it used to very cool Ill try and grab some photos when I get home
19. Most use the same bosch sensor AFAIK. Innovate and AEM do anyway. The name of the sensor escapes me at the moment but its pretty common and reliable
20. Speaking of fuel coolers.... what are people using? I was going to just use a cheap trans cooler or something on the return side
21. Might be yoyr tune? Mine goes around 15.5 on cruise and down to 11.5 or so on full boost/load
22. AEM UEGO here as well. Cant complain. Has done the job nicely so far
23. Nissan will sell them Supercheap should sell kits of copper washers Take the old ones with you and should be easy to match up
24. Love the bullet nut and overall look of the turbo. Starting to put out some awesome looking turbos I'm interested in the effects of the anti surge. Its probably at least semi useful on that turbo but I'm not sure why HKS decided my little turbo needed it.
