  1. You mean turbo end float and shaft play? Not sure on specs as I dont have my laptop on me As for any repairs, not really if you dont have the right tools or experience, they are sensitive things. If it aint broke dont fix it etc
  2. Didnt you look at steering components when this problem started?
  3. Car runs richer in cold start mode. Stay off boost till car is warm Does the problem go away when it gets to normal temp?
  4. Hurry up bonnet dampers. I want my bonnet to stay up on its own
  5. Stock ECU? What boost?
  6. Use the normal nuts and lock tab and torque the bolts as best you can. The lock tabs do work, but the bolts need to be tight enough
  7. Measure piston height at TDC, align the cam gears with the marks on the backing plate (TDC head alignment) then you shouls be able to measure how far your valves stick out at TDC. Work out the clearance from valve to piston then buy head gasket to suit
  8. Doesnt seem to be speed or rev related. What boost controller is in the car?
  9. Assholes
  10. Sounds pretty awesome Why the hell do they release it on xbox so far before other platforms. Does microsoft have a deal with treyarch?
  11. Im keen. But not till end of the month. Im in sydney all week next week and some of the next then back to work. Although by then I might not have a skyline on the road lol..... all good. Ill find something
  12. Only the late S2's run the newer style CAS. I think 97 onwards
  13. Where did you find this? I looked at the reviews for vengence and buried didnt really look that exciting. Alcatraz is fun enough for the moment
  14. Just when you think you've seen it all.......
  15. Yes through convection as I said. Remember that these old cars were designed to run like this. Cars with water pumps are designed to have a working water pump therefore there is much less convection happening Wasnt saying it would overheat in 2 seconds but I wouldnt risk driving it for very long. Combustion temps are pretty damn high
  16. Just a note that your gauge probably wont move at all seen as the belt drives the water pump. Most of the hot coolant will stay within the engine and you will only get a small amount of heat circulating through convection You basically wont know the car is hot till you see steam or something breaks
  17. What are you after?
  18. Hi Paul I remember a while ago there was some talk about Yellow Jacket Ignitors. Is there any update with these? Thanks
  19. Yeah it seems like fuel drains out of the injectors and then when starting theres an air lock in the injectors or something. Might pull the fuel pump out when the car is off the road for a look. Might all come good with new injectors and the other fuel rail and FPR yet
  20. More cheap car challanges!!!!
  21. http://www.frsport.com/Oversized-Oil-Pump-RB26DETT_p_15635.html Not sure if cheaper? What price were you looking at? I doubt you will find Nitto pumps much cheaper then directly from Nitto themselves. I wouldnt waste time trying to save $50 on a Nitto pump
  22. Engine isnt in the car yet And that head setup will have little to do with the power figure, Turbo and supporting mods will really do more then basic head re-conditioning. The Cams will help a little but apart from that its all pretty standard
  23. Do the Nismo pumps have a built in non return valve in the pump? Or is it the little part that comes with the kit? I played with it a bit and decided it wasnt a check valve so I didnt put it in. Will have to see If I can adapt a fuel pressure gauge in there. Think I can, have an old gauge from work at home just have to get some barb fittings and chuck it in somewhere Your talking about fuel pressure dropping off to quickly when the engine is turned off? or is the FPR supposed to keep a small amount of fuel in the pressure side? I imagine the FPR drains through an orrifice when the car is turned off to drain the pressure out of the system, but having never had a fuel pressure gauge in there I'm not 100% sure on what it should do Thanks
  24. Have a Nismo Pump, and have done for about the last 4 years or so. Never had the problem to start with I did change the FPR with another stock one a while ago, just cant remember quite when. (if it was before or after the problem started) I have another rail and FPR with new Nismo 740's going on soon Might disconnect the return line with the car off and see if anything comes out of the FPR at some point
