  1. Your plumbing looks ok but 1. are your sump breathers both above the oil level in the sump?\ and 2. is your catch can 300ml? It needs to be 2L (2000ml) also what oil pump and do you have any restrictors in the oil feeds?
  2. If you have a dozen GTR AFMs then a pair of those will do 300rwkw (400hp) which should be enough for your small Holset.
  3. Courtesy Paulr33's website: Rule of thumb for Air Flow meters RWKW (you will note a single RB25 AFM will measure more than a single GTR AFM) AFM Max Power at 5v Single RB25 AFM 225rwkw Single Z32 AFM 350rwkw Single Q45 AFM 300rwkw Twin RB26 AFMs 300rwkw Twin RB25 AFMs 450rwkw Twin Z32 AFMs 511rwkw Twin Q45 AFMs 600rwkw
  4. Yes it matters.Although depending on your budget and build you may want to consider a Link or Haltech etc.
  5. Have you tried taking the stock RB25 cooler off and just screwing a nipple in to attach the oil filter?
  6. I wouldn't bother running a line to the back of the head.
  7. Run a wire from the battery to the fuel pump to see if its the pump or the wiring, An R32 fuel pump has to be pretty old! If its stuffed get a new Walbro.
  8. I assume that with less lift the DE cam will not flow as well as the DET cam.... which will reduce the benefit of turbo charging. I don't know if you can just drop a DET cam in your head or not.
  9. Be aware that the DE cam has 6.9mm lift while the DET has 8.7mm
  10. You need more compression...9:1 or better. I used 2 x 1.0mm restrictors.Depending on the head you are using you may benefit from some higher lift cams without excessive overlap (a custom grind) and retaining VCT. Read the latter part of the oil control thread re venting your sump.
  11. There are two GTRs in NZ that have done 7 second runs but they were drag specials. Rips has built a few "street" (as in road registered ) R34 GTRs for dragging with powerglide boxes doing 8s but the fastest proper street GTRs that I know are doing 9s. There are a load of Street GTRs doing 10s.
  12. Whereabouts are you? If in Auckland have you tried Soichi at ST Hitech?
  13. If you are going to use it on the street at all don't get a Bosch they are ridiculously noisy.
  14. Good enough. Have a look at your turbo.
  15. 8.6 is too low 9.5 would be better or at least 9.0+
  16. I presume the adaptronic can control the VCT so you would normally do a run with VCT on and one with it off to determine the changeover points. Figures look ok for a stock engine. Have you gapped the plugs down to 0.8mm? Looks to be running quite lean. Is that by choice or is your pump not up to it?
  17. You can have my genuine Nissan GTR rail c/w gen fpr for $80!
  18. Do a compression test first. Obviously the easiest route is to replace the RB20DET 25Neo is going to be more powerful and expensive and more work. If you Google you will probably find lots of people who have done it before to give you tips.
  19. If it really is an R32GTR box c/w transfer case you should be able to just pull the 4wd fuses to get rwd. But if its an R33 box you will stuff the transfer case. There is a procedure for putting the R33 into RWD if you search. You'll also find a how to for cleaning the IACV valve. But the safe way to go RWD is to pull the front driveshaft - its only 4 bolts.
  20. If you want to be sure it is suitable for your purposes contact the seller and ask him to measure it,
  21. There is a range of these made for the WRX - should be able to be copied for less: http://www.ebay.com/itm/S2-Industries-AIR-OIL-Separator-Subaru-WRX-STI-VERSION-AOS-/151677359830?hash=item2350acd6d6&vxp=mtr
  22. ^^^what he said...and you need to vent your catch can preferably to the turbo intake. if you find you are getting oil in that line (I didn't) you can insert another catch can or a Nismo type oil/air separator in that line.
  23. One manualised here used an adapter plate for a Toyota gearbox and a wire in Link.
  24. New brake fluid better pads (if applicable).
  25. If the Venom cat has 3in inlet and outlet you can cut a bit off each end to make it 3.5in
