  1. So that's the key! I tried an R33 one but it didn't fit.
  2. Did you get a new part from Nissan? What was it worth? Did you get the front bit as well (for when you go manual!)?
  3. If Japanese tuners are happy with the Nistune then that would be your best bet because it is cheap and adequate for your needs. If your car is likely to end up in Australia don't get the F-Con which is probably the best of the options you put forward but there are few HKS licensed tuners in Australia.
  4. If I were you I would be going to a known good RB tuner and get him to check the cam timing (check is probably the wrong word - more like re-set). In other words if you are worried that all is not 100% and you might damage your engine get an expert RB tuner to do a tune. I would never get engine work done on a GTR at any random garage - best to get someone who is totally familiar with the RB engine. Where are you located? Someone might be able to point you to a reputable shop.
  5. I would have thought doing 2 runs was the quickest (cheapest) way to find the changeover points.
  6. Just reread your first post. It takes more than pulling the awd fuses to disengage the attessa. Were you on a 2wd or 4wd dyno? For what its worth here is the manual on turning the Attessa off (sorry forgot I can't paste to this forum for some reason so I'll try to attach it).... 4wd to 2wd text.txt
  7. So called "head drain" doesn't. Venting the sump (to a catch can) and installing restrictors works better.
  8. Workshop can put a pressure tester on the cooling system and see if it is actually losing pressure - makes it easier to spot leaks if they exist.
  9. Have you checked to see if there is an adjustable front camber arm? You can roughly measure the camber with a spirit level and ruler if you can do the math. You want no more than 1.5 deg negative for road use.
  10. What GTS is asking and what I asked a while ago is has your mate actually signed up to the site and got a password etc? If he did it a long time ago the site has been rebuilt and the server changed etc so he may just need to log in again.
  11. What brand? Sure they can't be changed if taken out? Some people are happy with their BCs others not. I chose Bilsteins with Tein springs.
  12. Go with the Hypergear! At least you can be sure of good back-up. Make sure you get the right oil and or water supply set up for the turbos.
  13. Well the other option is buying a sensor from a wrecker or a member selling parts. Your real problem is which sensor. The sensors in the R33 range differ in the number of teeth on the drive. There is no guarantee that an R33 sensor will read correctly on your R34 cluster. Unless someone can tell you for sure you should try to borrow one to see if it works. What happened to your original sensor?
  14. Not sure what you mean by lens. The cluster is covered by a clear plastic sheet - you can use any leds you like.
  15. What's a VRS kit? Have you tried the usual autoparts suppliers looking for a R34 item?
  16. Skimmed through the RB30 thread - seems No-one has chosen your turbos! If you have already bought them then with the right tune etc you might crack 400kw or better (maybe someone who actually still has some will let you know) but if you haven't bought them yet there are probably better choices - even in bolt on twins. BTW you will need minimum 3.5 or preferably 4in exhaust all the way through.
  17. Yep you want to take some tension off so hole furthest from the bar is the one.
  18. Your goals should be easily achievable but don't know enough about the turbos you list - some would argue for a modern single turbo. If its a street car get some more modern fuel pumps - the 044s will be as noisy as.
  19. Here is a video on adjusting (and possibly shimming) your diff (turn down the distracting music!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuMLnWHRs5Y
  20. All GTRs have mechanical LSDs. None has a viscous LSD. BUT V-Spec models have a computer controlled LSD so if you can't tell from the outside by all means open it up and see what you have.
  21. Get a Quaife front diff and beef up your transfer case and you will be able to get the power on earlier...
  22. I presume he has signed up and everything. It could be the browser he is using. Mods (administrators) say the best way to contact them is by using the "report" button
  23. I think Scotty can sell you a new pump for well under $200
  24. There was one for sale uncomplied in Wellington a few months ago so don't like your chances.
