  1. For a few more bucks and a little work the Link Extreme will be a worthwhile investment for your over 1000hp engine. I have one of the high sensitivity oil pressure sensors which I haven't used (will work with any aftermarket ecu). PM me for a cheap delivered price.
  2. No such thing as Plug and Play really - its not a Nintendo. Yes they plug in. Then you have to add maybe a temp sensor, MAP sensor, Mac valve and then tune.
  3. Set cam timing to zero and adjust on dyno is the best way.
  4. Speak to Soichi about the F-Con. He has good contacts with HKS and can get them re-programmed prior to tuning... but get him to confirm a unit is suitable before you buy. There's a couple on US eBay
  5. Is there a question here? Rebuild OS twin looks like best bet for you given that its not a daily. I have a HD single plate (over 400hp) but I don't drag it and it is a daily diver.
  6. Clearly a while since I stuck my head under the dash! Switch is on your side of the brake pedal lever so would need to be out of adjustment to be stuck on. Still plug to disconnect (if necessary) is reasonably accessible (or better still get a young fellow to do it)!
  7. Nice looking car - all it needs is an RB30 and a GTR box!
  8. If your existing (veilside) system is at least 3in I would spend any spare money on a decent ecu and a tune first.
  9. Stop light switch under the brake pedal stuck. It may have moved or simply stuck in the on position. Try to move it by hand - make sure it is not contacting the pedal (if it is it needs adjusting). If its not it may just be stuck down. Last resort try unplugging it.
  10. More air more fuel = more power
  11. Manukau City Toyota. They seem to be parallel importing it (i.e. not through the Motul Agents). They also sell RB600 brake fluid cheaper and the Motul 300V I use in my car. They sell on TradeMe under various aliases (possibly so as not to upset the local Motul distributors).
  12. And of course you can't run bigger than stock with the stock ecu.
  13. NZ$71 for 5L
  14. On the new 5L 100% synthetic Motul 5W30 H-Tech 100Plus I bought (not for my Stagea) it says: Formulated to enhance emission control systems' durability. seal compatibility, protection of turbocharger, piston cleanliness and E85 emulsion retention and also: Suitable for all gasoline engines using leaded or unleaded gasoline, E85, LPG or Autogas fuel at all driving conditions.
  15. I bought Cusco arms as only quality one piece items can pass certification here. I ran them at 3 deg negative for max cornering with my slicks but you really only want 1.5 deg for road use. I sold them when I had to give up the track for financial reasons and got some eccentric bushes which give me about 1.5 dg neg.
  16. If they are actually making a whole brand new block why don't they go straight to 3 Litres?
  17. Ask a Walbro stockist.
  18. Best practice is either to let the tuner install the ecu or if you want to install it yourself trailer the car to the tuner.
  19. I have paid around $60 - $80 for GTT stock rotors.
  20. I bought a GCG highflow probably same time as you. Best I ever got was about 245AWKW but I think you can get better results for less dollars from Hypergear these days...(on a stock looking turbo).
  21. Depends how much you want to spend. New regulations make it difficult to comply 250s so all newer ones tend to be 350s which have the same power as the 250 turbos. For example TradeMe auction 83300352 a 350 with 67K for $11k 250s are to be had from $5k but it may pay to look for one that has had the $2k cam chain replacement job done!
  22. There's at least two tutorials on this site on how to directly wire it. (oops may not directly relate to your Holden). But yes I'm still using the stock regulator - more reliable then many (of course not all) aftermarket regs.
