  1. No you will just need to run a wire from the TPS (sorry don't know the details - tuner installed my Link).
  2. You will be able to buy Bilsteins but for a cheaper solution just go to a decent shock shop and they should be able to line you up with a replacement.
  3. Forget the Nismo low temp thermostat it serves no useful purpose. Engines are meant to be hot.
  4. Have a search - someone built a very high compression N/A RB30 a while ago. Found it already - its back in this thread^^ Gerg_31 got 10.75:1
  5. RB26 head stock cams should be fine. What kind of head gasket are you using? I found with the Tomei one I could remove and replace the head at will (has been off twice).
  6. Too amazing for me! Wheel arches are practical but I would paint them the same as the car.
  7. If you read the oil control thread (or at least the last 10 or so pages) you will note that the back of head fitting is redundant and you need breathers on the sump. My RB30 came out with low compression ratio and low power. The Hypergear turbo may give you more power but if you can do anything to get your CR to over 9 at least that will definitely help. I think windage trays in the sump would be good. Although i too have an N1 pump I think their life depends on how hard they are worked. Mine is limited to 7000 - if you are planning on more you may want to revisit the pump. So are you using the RB26 head or the R32 RB25DET head? If the latter have you got VCT hooked up? You may find with only 7.8mm lift and low compression you will struggle to make more than the 314awkw I got (although I suspect the Hypergear turbo will do better than my 35/40) You could e.g. get some higher lift cams without excessive overlap from Kelford Cams as well as some better valve springs.
  8. ^^^was just going to say Robbie from RIPS has done it with some of his drag engines...
  9. If you Google "R32 centre gauges into GTST" you will find that indeed it has been done (many times) before and all will be revealed.
  10. Doesn't really matter what we think. If you want auto you can spend more than the price of a conversion on beefing up your auto. It can be made to handle 250 - 300kw - after that it may not last that long.
  11. I have. The two sides either side are easy. I made a template with a piece of cardboard - You can probably work out the right way with a little trial and error - then drill from the outside in. Open the hatch and pull out the grommett for the wiring and you will see the hole. Measure the correct depth for the bolt to make sure it doesn't come out the other side of the wing. I used bolts with internal hex (forget the proper name) with flat washer and spring washer. The middle was a problem as I didn't get the proper fixing so just used a thick double sided tape. ...probably not really ideal.
  12. That's a very impressive figure - are you on E85?
  13. I don't know what the issues are. There are stories that there were a bunch of knock offs at one time. My Rb30 has an N1 pump - no issues after about 30,000km including track but my rev limit is 7000 and I don't do do-nuts or any limiter bashing. A local engine builder who does a lot of race engines won't use them so I guess he has had a few failures but I don't know the details.
  14. What is the boiling point of this liquid? If it has a very high boiling point it is still getting hot. How does the price compare with the proper amount of anti-freeze? Is there any evidence that it has superior anti-corrosive qualities to your normal anti-freeze?
  15. You need a 3.5 or better still 4in exhaust.
  16. Another V8 C34 - no R34 front but comes with "Roo Bars"! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/nissan/auction-882732192.htm
  17. Car parts for sale and /or Parts wanted section
  18. $1550? For twice that you can buy a running M35!
  19. ^^^As above - you will need both hubcentric spacers and hubcentric adapters to go from your 66.1 to the Volk 73mm or whatever they are (in fact you should have those adapters now). To me your wheels look fine... pretty flush and no ridiculous and illegal "stretch".
  20. Wrecker price here about $300 fitted. Forget Nissan Try the replacement glass firms or keep looking - someone must be wrecking one.
  21. Put a flexi in the system.
  22. Just to confirm you are talking about a stock factory manifold?
  23. I think he's alluding to the fact that if you had a bigger turbo you could make 1200hp. And yes 3.5in will do 600awkw so should be fine for you.
  24. The price. I think mine was about $550 for 50mm If you want to be sure you can buy direct from Synapse Engineering: http://synapseengineering.pinnaclecart.com/index.php?p=catalog&parent=1&pg=1
  25. Or you can buy my sandwich plate with built in thermostat (which I won't be using).
