  1. Certainly sounds like just another case of butchered housings. If a GT series have issues with them, it's only going to be worse with a GTX given they are meant to make more power. If it's not the housing - Exhaust - Timing belt is out a tooth possibly

  4. It's a skyline They will pull you over irrespective of your defect history. They will only know that after they've already pull you over so i don' see how thats a factor of consideration.

  6. Yep GTR injectors in RB25 is a good sign something odd is going on. How long have you had the car? I'm guessing not long at all... So get everything checked, if the fuel rail & wiring is stock for instance the chance you have GTR injectors is nill so you might have something else in there or potentially stock ones. Same with the turbo.

  10. I've driven a few 4" exhaust GT-R's... They sound tough as even with two big mufflers. But yeah 4" and external screamer would be what you'd do. It'll be less than 10% either way of what it'll cost for 550rwkw so... Not even a consideration really and the least of your money spending concerns.

End of the day the R33 you'll buy won't be the same as reviewed. 150k kms on it, worn bushes/mounts all over the car, diffs, suspension, brakes, tyre advancements And thats just to name a few things, there would be a long list if you thought about it so whatever you read is going to be pointless. Go find one, test drive it.
  13. Removing the turbo does not make the car legal. It is still build plated as a turbo model and therefore the illegality still stands. So you need to waste money on engineers etc to change it. as for everything else in this thread - use the search. It has all been covered many times (including removing a turbo and thinking you are magically legal, which, you are not).

  15. The dyno is the perfect point though. It clearly emphasises the fact your setup with the Z32 was basically farked and had MAJOR issues with the tune/AFM/god knows what. So going to a R35 AFM has helped everything from driveabilty to power - but you cannot say it's better than the Z32 setup - because it was farked from the outset. If you were having stalling issues BEFORE the R35 AFM install, you should have FIXED them first. Rather than swapping and then claiming it's "so much better"... Of course it's better - you fixed a stuffed setup. You'd probably have found there is nowhere near the difference between the two as a result
