  1. That Nismo went like a scalded cat chasing down the Aston and Bentley after the final safety car, quite impressive really.
  2. Nice Zinc content and not too expensive, my motor is low Ks so oil consumption is close to zero...http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products.php?id_categ=1&id_fuel_type=3&id_products=7
  3. A bit of both, theory and practical, just holding the actuator in one hand and pulling on the shaft to compress the spring, you can easily notice the wimpy spring in the Kando, Have test fitted it to my spare turbo, and agree with zooomzoom it did need fettling in order to fit properly. Also disassembled the actuator to check that Kando put the correct spring in there, and according to his colour scheme (yellow=1Bar) it does have the spring I ordered. Not even going to bother fitting it to the car, let alone wasting dyno time on it, I have enough confidence in my engineering and maths to know whats what.
  4. I just received my Kando adjustable waste gate actuator and it's a piece of shite, lovely machined and built, just poorly designed. Even with a 1 Bar spring, it has less spring pressure than the stock RB20 actuator. The point of difference is the size of the diaphragm, the Kando is 45mm and the RB20 is 60mm. 60mm Ø = 2.36 inches, π r² = 4.37 square inches x 10psi = 43.7 lbs spring 45mm Ø = 1.77 inches, π r² = 2.46 square inches x 14.5psi = 35.7 lbs spring Clearly, if you are going to use a bleed valve, electronic or manual, you are better off with the RB20 actuator.
  5. Have the NRMA inspect your vehicle, then fix all the problems they find, either by yourself or your local mechanic, would never consider a dealership to service any of mine.
  6. I wonder how many stock 32s will be around in 10 years?
  7. walking through the city this morning, beautiful black R35 pulling up at the lights, squealed like a banshee...
  8. I have Sumitomos without shims ... zero squeal, with no copper grease, and I did not throw my shims out, they are in Chinese take-away containers waiting to be needed again. Squeal is a harmonics thang, the tightness of your whole front suspension plays a part too.
  9. I tooks some reading a while ago.... http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/386795-battery-alternator-issue/#entry6170028
  10. I thought Vcam just helped the engine breath better at high rpm?
  11. Meh I wouldn't buy a SN rated oil, thats about when they dropped the Zinc content significantly so as the to extend the life of catalytic converters.
  12. Adelaide?
  13. There's no listing for that part...http://nissan.epcdata.ru/skyline/hcr32/3875-rb20dt/engine/220/?frame_no=HCR32-053946
  14. F***ing brake squeal, it's a black art. Some times you can over heat them when bedding them in and you will never get rid that horrid noise. You can try taking out the pads and rubbing them on a nice bit 80 grit/ concrete to freshen the surface then scuff the rotors up with 120 grit, blow off the dust on the pads and clean the rotors with brake cleaner, reassemble and do a less aggressive brake-in again. Make a Bonfire do a little dance sacrifice a goat / neighbours cat...
  15. Must be, as they are the same part number.
  16. Oh soo sexy...not!
  17. if you really want a hot tip ask in the WTB forum for a dicked coilpack, someone local should have one for next to nothing
  18. enough... how about any new members first five post/ threads requires admin approval before they are published? More work load then ask for more people to become mods. It works on other forums.
  19. Try nissan or amayama, part No 224681P101
  20. lol...surprised someone didn't tell you to do a search, as I think this topic has been covered before.
  21. try here.... http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/ http://nissan.epcdata.ru/skyline/ enter your VIN number in the box at the top left and you will be able to search parts for your specific car, like Nissan fast... the Russian site has diagrams but the English one does not.
  22. They're the same ones I got, $114 delivered from RHD Japan.
  23. I'm just about to replace my stock HCR32 ones with Nismos, I can't get underneath to take a photo, a mate has borrowed my ramps, but it appears the stock ones have the arrow pointing towards the front of the car.
  24. I've had the Kumho KU39 on my daily for 2 years now, and with all this wet weather we've had lately they have performed quite well, they're a quite tyre on the highway too.
