Yep the red carpet will be out for you guys and no silly talk I am impressed with you guys and your track times. Eastern Creek will be a huge even by the looks of it. I don't think you guys Also I am looking forward to meeting Ben Race Pace and show and tell and discuss.

Roy your 1 min 56 would beat probably 80% of the GTR's times in Sydney.

EC is an awesome and fast track lots of run off and generally a safe track although not as safe as Wakefield. By the way most if not all the Sydney gang will be doing Eastern Creek only.

John, dont forget that the EC day is only open to interstate ppl, as its not an L2S day. We have begged to get the day opened up to us interstate guys. But unless your from interstate or hold a national level licence you wont be allowed on by the ARDC ;)

As for the 1:56, well that was with 180km/h speed limiter. 140-150rwkws, & mismatched road tyres.

With no speed limiter, new semi slicks, and about 230rwkws...im hoping by the end of the day i can get down to around the 1:52s. If i dont i will be disappointed. Ideally i want to get a 1:49 then i will be hitting the cans at the Cricketers Arms and telling all the local girls how im the nephew of Steve McQueen

Hey Snowy, have you received the disclaimer from trhe people on that list or is it just interest shown???

It's a shame Ben and Sam can't make it, oh well, the Sydney guys will have to deal with some of the 'slower' cars from Vic... ;)

That's whom I have confirmation from so far that are coming. I'm only adding people to it now when I know they are in for sure. Although there are a couple of quick EVO guys from QLD keen to come as well that aren't on the list. One of them is particularly quick so that should be interesting especially at Wakefield and the other ran a mid 1.07 there on his only other visit.

Oh I did not know it was for interstate only. Do I call myself a Victorian, or do I say I am bait for interstate GTR's. I know it is reserved with ARDC which I confirmed personally. The only thing is with no money down and previous experience you need to make sure those who are saying they are definitely coming are actually coming. How many are confirmed?

What else do I need to do to be added Snowy? I have the form to fill in for Eastern Creek. My accomodation form is filled out and awaiting confirmation from James on nights he is going to be there. Sorting the CAMS at the meeting on Tues with Chris.

As I said John - the list in the first post are the people that are OFFICIALLY coming rather than just the initial group that showed interest.

Alan - I'll add you and James to the list.

Bunta - you need more QLD's.

I am 150% in for the week. If I don't get my disclamer in by the end of this week, is there a chance I will miss out on Eastern Ck?

Also, without reading 100s of posts, is the accom locked in? Can I get my own room in the cabins?

Accom for Eastern Ck sorted with no chance of cars being towed / stolen?

PM me if necessary.

Cheers...

So what is actually going on with the EC day??

Are there any of the NSW guys going, or they're not allowed coz of the licence needed??

So how many are confirmed from NSW??

Is this is an open day???

Bit confused...

Your car beind stolen is the least of your worries. Make sure you have had all your shots as odds are you will be...well you have seen Deliverance havent you.

If you have a national licence you can do EC, otherwise i was only able to arrange entry for the interstate folk, as we shoudl not be allowed on the track with only an L2S licence. The day will be race cars, its not unusual for sports sedans and old Touring Cars to be running around. I was there with a B&H Sierra once :D

No Matt - everyone from Vic (or QLD) can do it under a deal we made with management from EC. It's ok.

It's supposed to be for C3 and higher only but they have given us up to 30 places for L2S guys from interstate. At this stage it looks like we will only use about 15 of them though.

The Eastern Creek day is for holders of a full race license only NC and PC (Previously C3 and C4).

But snowy contacted them directly and organised for a group of mexicans with L2S to be allowed.

But still no L2S frmo NSW (although maybe we could slip a few in now there are less mexicans coming :( )

Ok guys, ive looked at places to organise a dinner with you guy and the nsw guys, you're quite a way from Sydney though, but there is one place out there you should like.....HOOTERS :(

Would you guys be interested in that? Also, what night is best?

If you are a Mexican can you please send your forms by the end of next week?

N1GTR (Steve is it?) can you rally the NSW folk who are looking for accom at Wakefield?

Essentially we are needign to confirm numbers with them as the Monday/Tues morning is a big day for them because of the track booking on Monday. The accom has been fully booked out for the Monday night and they are closed on the Tuesday.

So they need numbers from us so they can be sure that the rooms are clean and ready for us on Tuesday afternnon (arrange staffing key collection etc)

As for dinner, let me know if you are keen for some Italian, a friend runs a great Italian joint in Penrith....

And Friday night its Cricketers Arms or Mean Fiddler

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
