Omori Omori...... hmmmmmmmmm I have been there!

It took us ages to find the factory, not knowing that it was actually on the omori subway line and not the JR omori line, then finally found it and majority of it was closed for refurbishment. ;)

However the dudes there, were very friendly and despite not knowing how to speak English found an English worker there and yea very friendly.

This is the workshop:

Main door, see the left side it was all covered and being refurbished?

can i guess the price now? can i please?

id say its worth about as much as a tidy GTS-t with some bolt-on's

$20K should do it as its only a 93model

Yes you fitted the plenum but still went to great lengths to make it appear as a prototype part, just like you did with the strut brace and other parts fitted.

my turn my turn my turn!

since its just a s1 gts-t with some bits added im gussing its worth $20,590. Considering s1 GTR's dont cost that much more i guess the price of it will follow the market value of a S1 GTR with decreasing incements every year ;)

as lots of people have stated before, its not a sought after model and/or collectable therefore shouldnt be worth more than a clean s1 gtst and cheaper than a S1 GTR imo

fugging nice non the less :D

OK it might be a genuine 2500R,but the fact that there are aftermarket parts on it will lessen the value. As it is not in original condition i would estimate around the 25k mark.Still nice though.

HI THERE :D - I LIKE IT TOO - THE FACT THAT A GTS-T WAS PULLED OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE IN 1993 AND USED A BASE MODEL FOR DEVELOPMENT HAS NEVER BEEN A SECRET - I MADE IT VERY CLEAR TO HPI THAT IF THIS INFO WASNT MADE CLEAR IN THE ARTICLE THAT I WOULDNT LET THEM RUN THE STORY - FRONT COVER OF HPI ISSUE STATES "SUPER RARE 2500R GTST" ALSO TEXT ON PAGE 78 STATES "THIS PARTICULAR GTST WAS PULLED OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE IN DEC. 1993" ALSO ON PAGE 79 IT STATES "THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT TO MALCOLM IS THAT FACTORY SPECIFICATION HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE APPEAL AND MOTIVATION BEHIND THE BUILD" - SO WHEN SOURCING PARTS LIKE STRUT BRACES BRAKE CALIPERS PLENUMS FUEL RAILS IT WAS IMPORTANT TO ME TO USE PARTS THAT WOULD HAVE NATURALLY "FITTED IN" AND BEEN "RIGHT" - WHY USE AN AFTER MARKET STRUT BRACE WHEN A FACTORY NISSAN ONE DOES THE SAME JOB ? - IT ALSO STATES ON PAGE 79 "PIECES FROM THE CAR WERE MISSING FROM THE CAR WHEN IT WAS RECEIVED AND MALCOM HAD TO SOURCE THE EXACT PARTS FROM THE ORIGINAL BRIEF (FACTORY) TO TIE IT ALL TOGETHER SOME PARTS HAD TO BE MADE AND OTHERS COULD ONLY BE AS CLOSE TO FACTORY AS IS AVAILABLE" - I WOULD SAY THAT THE PLENUM FITS THAT BILL PERFECTLY AS ONE WAS NEVER MADE FOR THE GTST - HAVING AN "RB-X GT 1" BADGE ON IT IS NOT SAYING THAT ITS A NISSAN OR NISMO PART - IT ALSO STATES ON PAGE 80 "MALCOLM WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE FOLLOWING COMPANIES WITHOUT WHOM THE BUILD COULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE ADVAN JUST JAP KOZO WATANABE NATE TUNE NISSAN AUSTRALIA NISSAN JAPAN NISSAN NTH AMERICA OMORI FACTORY JAPAN PERFORMANCE METAL CRAFT POWERPLAY IMPORTS RACE BRAKES SPECIALISED BRAKE AND CLUTCH UNIQUE AUTOSPORTS XCLUSIVE COLOURS - WITH ALL THESE COMPANIES HELPING ME OUT "WHATS THERE TO HIDE" - THE CAR STARTED OFF LIFE IN AN INTERESTING WAY AND ALL IVE EVER TRIED TO DO IS CONTINUE ITS JOURNEY BASED ON WHAT IVE LEARNT ABOUT ITS HISTORY - THE OPENING PARAGRAPH OF THIS THREAD STATES "HERE IS NISSANS NISMOS OMORI FACTORIES (WELL MINE ACTUALLY)..... - CHEERS MALCOLM - :D

HI THERE - :D THE PLENUM AND STRUT BRACES ARE PROTOTYPE PARTS !! - AS NO ACTUAL 2500R PLENUMS OR STRUT BRACES WERE DEVELOPED IT IS AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO CONVEY OR "INDICATE A STYLE OR LOOK" OF WHAT IS INTENDED PRIOR TO ACTUAL DEVELOPMENT OF AN "INDIVIDUAL" PART - CHEERS MALCOLM :D

Sorry dude have read bits and pieces only, but isn't the plenum a Greddy item? If yes these are generally available to the public, how is it a prototype? Or was this the fist ever Greddy plenum?

HI THERE :D - THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE VERY CLEAR - "AS NO GTX-1 2500R WAS EVER PRODUCED BY NISSAN THERE IS NO SUCH POSSIBILITY THAT THE WORD GENUINE HAS ANY VALIDITY WITHIN ITS NORMAL CONTEXT ON THIS TOPIC - THIS DOES NOT HOWEVER TAKE AWAY FROM THE FACT THAT WITH THE INFORMATION THAT I HAVE SOURCED OVER THE PAST 7 YEARS IN RELATION TO THIS PARTICULAR MOTOR VEHCLE THAT IS GOT CLOSER THAN ANY OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE GOT TO BE ABLE TO GENUINELY CARRY THE 2500R THEME - CHEERS MALCOLM :D

HI THERE - :D WE ARE NOT DISCUSSING A GREDDY PLENUM RATHER THAN A PROTOTYPE CAR - THE GREDDY PLENUM GIVES A GOOD INDICATION OF WHAT PLENUM STYLE OF PLENUM COULD BE DEVELOPED FOR A 2500R IF IT WAS GOING TO GO INTO PRODUCTION - CHEERS MALCOLM

Thanks Malcolm,

Agree it's a clean car and can now see what you mean. The car is your vision of what it would be but it is not a Nissan prototype, not a NISMO prototype.

    • To add to that very useful summary, even in the race/rally r32 gtr I have good quality, new(ish) poly bushes everywhere because that is what rules require, and the handling is excellent. Of course, the car doesn't do many klm but I'd still expect poly bushes to last better in road use than sphericals (especially as I have a couple of klm of dirt road to stuff sphericals up) I would change the front upper arms to spherical if I was allowed to, because the poly bushes flog out often, but otherwise new bushes (and ball joints) and a good alignment can make a world of difference
    • Any chance you can get a Nistune board installed instead and set the speed limit to whatever your tires can handle?
    • Hi all, I need to get this HKS SLD attached to my stock ECU because I've now got the German autobahn and faster European circuits to contend with.  The car is a manual 2dr ER34 with an AT ECU and I've realised the AT ECU has two pins for speed sensor signals: Pin 29: Vehicle speed sensor signal (Vehicle speed sensor 2) Pin *58: Output shaft rotation sensor signal (Vehicle speed sensor 1) - *RB25DET A/T model only Before I go butchering this harness, is anyone sure of which pin is the correct one for signal adjustment? The attached document from HKS indicates pin 29 but I found this situation mentioned in the following thread on a different forum (R34 GTT Auto Trans Speed Cut Problem | Zerotohundred) mentioning pin 58 needing to be altered by member zephuros, albeit it seems to be for an RSM-GP and the info appears to be old.  R34_All_Workshop_Manual-pages-2.pdf R34_All_Workshop_Manual-pages-3.pdf R34_All_Workshop_Manual-pages-1.pdf HKS SLD Vehicle Pin out P59-P70 ER34-pages.pdf
    • Slimline sub on the rear parcel shelf is doable. Pioneer TS-WX140DA is only 70mm high.
    • People like Johnny Dose Bro might be laughing at my post because I accidentally added 100mm to my numbers. 350-355 is indeed the lower limit. 450 is off-road Skyline spec.
