Yeah never been sure how that goes, but if you're not at fault and it's clear cut, then I can't see you losing (apart from market value probably being lower than what you could sell it for)

If you had insurance they'd fix your car and recoup their costs with the at fault owner/their insurance company

With him at fault, they'll have to pay you something...probably market value as you're not insured and don't have an agreed value..

I have 3rd party insurance.

Person reversed into my guard. Person had full comp RACV

Got quote from Micolour.

Person called saying their insurance wants to know if price to repair is less than insurance claim excess. I said no, proceed with claim.

Dropped car off at Micolour. He did all the calling, assessement etc

Got cheque in mail from RACV, cashed it and handed in to Micolour + extra for front end spray :)

If yours is a write off, no panel beater is going to do the chasing for you, so you would have to do that yourself :(

My friends car was written off. He kept the wreck, paid a valuator to come and value his car (cost him $300). Sent a letter to the person at fault demanding valuation amount + cost of valuators time. He would then pass that onto his insurance i believe.

Don't get how people driving nice cars can have only 3rd party or no insurance.

If you have thrd party and some uninsured driver hits you you're f**ked. Your insurance company won't chase anything for you (because you only have 3rd party)

That's not entirely true, depending on your policy...my old RACV third party policy had a clause where they would chase up an uninsured third party for you. I think the cover only stretched to $5k though...the rest you would have to sue for yourself. But I do agree, any car over 10k value and I'd be insuring it full comp, because shit happens and as seen in the above example, it doesn't even have to be your fault.

shit was f**ked up at work today.

hear this crazy screaming of a small child and a mother, the kind of scream you only hear when some real shit has gone down.

run outside to see what has happened and all the cars in the carpark have stopped and people are chasing this little dog.

i look over to the left and this little girl has just had half her forhead ripped open by a fkn miniature poodle puppy!

blood everywhere!

Fk I'm not comin wasteland no more from pedos to dead people back to pedos to little kids with there head ripped open by dogs shots depressing

+1 rename the thread to - "Vic Pedos, food, dead people, complaining about P plate laws, Shans daily flame, little kid gets head bitten off by a bitch dog depression thread"

If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
