what have you got in the pipeline now the vet is for sale PJ? something bigger?

I thought about a turbo V8, but realistically it would throw the handling out and I want to do some track days so going to stick with what I know, if it sells.

I was looking on the precision site and was wondering if anyone has managed to install 2 lowmount billet turbos into a gtr? Would be an interesting step from the good ol' garrett -7, 9 and 5s.

The gtx versions look great too as low mounts but precisions great results seen so far would be very interesting to see.

What turbos? it's all good to low mount them but it means custom intake and exhaust sides. Mega effort!!!

the main issue is picking the right ones to low mount, so all that mega effort doesnt get wasted : D

Looking at the 4828 400hp unit, not sure if it would fit and im sure it would require alot of work but there are always some crazy builds where someone wants to do something different.

Just looking at the gtx2860 thread and the r34 gtr build; having to buy a set of -5 turbs to modify and welding the snout and outlet. Hopefully there will be some bolt-on options for these turbines if there is enough demand.

These precision units are sooooo tempting for me; the 6262 was on my mind but i settled on the -9s because of the stock look.

Im very impressed with the powertune r34 gtr and the drag s13 silvia from motive dvd....amazing!!!

I don't know if it interests you, but I've spoken to hypertune about a low mount twin gate manifold. It's little in your face than a high mount and will make plumbing the gates in easier.

wow, would be similar to the manifolds used by twoogle right? great for people who wish to make big power using twins; would say it was kinda a lost cause considering how simple it is to buy a 6bob manifold and that the gt-rs/-10 turbos arent the best in many peoples opinions.

this is why im interested in these new range of turbos like the gtx28, precisions billets and perhaps borg warner units in development.

for myself, im sticking with the stock rb26 manifolds but in the future when I do a rebuild, i would want these options

cheers mate

Paul's low mounts, he used standard ported manifolds with his 2530's/RS setup?

I have a 6466 on an rb28, and i expect in excess of 500awkw. Might be a little bit too extreme on a daily strees sil. Buut, look at PJ's THING, because thats what it is, a freakish THING. It has a monster and still makes powers that are usuable for speeding up the rotation of the earth arouns the axis of the suns, and stuff

i love this post.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
