Going off the position of the povit, being closest to the turbo. I'd say that is exactly how it works..

Be intresting to see if they become available to the public.. And what they cost..

Pitty they seem so large though..My turbo would be all most rubbing on my bonnet with that fitted under it.

Just like this :)

Sorry the link has pretty rubbish pics.

Google turbine diverter valve for more images.

Looks nice, looking forward to hearing how this goes - what is the engine spec again? Is it being tuned on pump gas, or something alcoholic?

It's a Tomei 2.8l running 87mm bore,9.3:1 comp on E85. Has all the goodies to make the power.

Oh that's right, it all comes back to me - hadn't they (they being since demised units) already been run up and outspooled and outflowed the GT2871R-10s, at least while they lasted?

That's correct although I'm hoping these ones hang around a little longer. Wasted money on coating them if they don't....

They look like a pain in the ass to fit :(

Any reason why you didn't use a mettalic bend off that front turbo instead of silicone?

They become easier the more you do it....

No, other than when we first put them together we were under time restraints so just went with what was easier. Just using the same over this time again...

Have you had a run on the dyno yet to see what power you got out of the new turbos?

No not as yet. When it was obvious we weren't going to make WTAC we took our foot off the pedal. Should be running in 2-3 weeks.

I've set a time limit of end of November. If there are no 7064 .92's available, I'll get a GTX3067R with an ATP divided .82 housing or a Tial .63. Full Race should have T3 .82 7064's in stock now with T4 1.05's due in about a week and T4 .92's due about a week after that. I'll believe it when I see it.

Happy to report back after my tuner has had a good play with the info from it.

It's just an optical sensor like the crank trigger.

A friend of mine has just installed the same on his RB, it was a first for Haltech apparently. Haltech spent sometime with both Ross and the tuner involved and loved the info from it. I believe they are going to write it into all their ecu software from now on.

i feel the same way. fortunately we've got tracking numbers now so the situation has improved

Just logged in to see if anyone has gotten the 7064 yet.

regarding 7064: the t3 singlescrolls have good availability, t4 twinscrolls shipping again

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
