wow, who would have thought this piece of shit track would bring back boring racing

How in the fcuk are places like this and hungary allowed to be apart of the calander

Well done to vettel, just counting down the weeks until this championship is done. Kind of a shame that with the points lead he has now, he doesnt even have to win or come second to have this all locked up.

Yep, I dozed in and out of sleep, f**king waste of race weekend innit.

+1 to this.

Oh, and am I the only one getting sick of hearing "I have no KERS, KERS is gone"... then said driver immediately puts in fastest lap of the race on their next lap or two?

Lastly, DRS is as shitful a Ecclestone... if DRS must be used, can we at least have it available on corners?

6L atmo? even that is waaaay too quick.

4 cylinder sounds crap, i'm suer v6 wouldn't be that good either. inline 6 is a possibility but for packaging reasons nobody uses them in production cars any more. v8 sounds crap especially with this blown diffuser nonsense.

I'm a fan of smaller capacity V10 or V12, NA. Keep the cylinder count high, no RPM limit, and reduce capacity as required to keep power within sensible limits. Besides that I say "anything goes" with the engine as long as they still sound meaty and not tinny like a motorbike. Not really a fan of turbo, it kills the exhaust sound. V12s were before my time but the V10s sounded magnificent.

Get rid of this reliability stuff, engines and gearboxes lasting half a season etc. The random blowups used to make things interesting.

Aero needs to be simplified still further, to make it easier for cars to follow closely. That and mechanical grip needs to be improved. I think DRS has too many rules, and is a bit artificial. I have no problem with KERS because drivers are free to use it at any point in the lap.

The main thing for me is the sound. In between F1 practice sessions when the two seater V10 comes out my jaw drops and I go what... is... THAT.... :worship:

When did this happen? Lap times drop with fuel loads but I think it is safe to say that KERS makes cars quicker.

as pointless as not even putting in a time in q3? these tyre regs need the most work

from start to finish, this whole weekend has been a complete let down

Refueling would solve so many problems. Two, three or four stints where cars are driving flat out rather than circulating to manage fuel, tyres, engines and gearboxes.

Button did it last night if I recall correctly.

Also I think Webber did it a couple of times earlier this year

Fuel reduction is the main reason plus the on/off nature of some KERS modules when they get too hot.

I agree, but JB did it the lap he was heard on the team radio last night.

Whether the team radio broadcast was quite delayed I do not know.

I think you will find that those messages are delayed, have heard the commentators say as much a few times, was more than likely coincidence

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
