Replaced the AFM this morning, and she roars into life!

I don't know what kind of Nissan engineer thought it needed security bolts... guess its so they can sell the whole tube.

Also the part number I received ended in 61A, not 611, for other people's info.

61A? hmm did it have the temerature sensor in the unit? and 5 pins on the plug?

I'll be in this; it's high time I got back for a comparison to my bone stock 14.9 sec quarter over a year ago.

Got to be good for a 14.8 by now...whistling.gif

hoping for close to 14.0-14.1.... :)

Looked the same bar a couple of markings. Diode on the outside. 5 pins. Works like a charm.

Only recently got my Stag. Traded it for my old 180 track/street car.

Came with some fugly looking rims so picked up these CR's and also got the NA grill to put on next and tinted the front windows to match the rear tint.

Fitted a new Pioneer 7300BT head unit yesterday, sounds good, will sound even better once I get my amp & speakers in. Getting the old tape deck out was certainly a challenge.

I seem to have a screw left over from somewhere, that's fast becoming my DIY signature whistling.gif

A bit sad for Christmas day, but the outlaws were over for lunch so, to ensure my day wasn't a total fail, I changed the oil.

lol .... if only it wasn't raining I would be doing the same.

Had a look at doing the wire snip, because I've been slack and haven't it yet.

Are you guys just cutting back the covering on the ECU harness and cutting the pink wire with the blue line?

Its not as if you can cut pin 55 directly...

Im just going to cut it in the morning then wire up a switch later in the week.

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
