out of a van at 3am nothing comes close

I guess you can rest assured that this environment would be unlikely to house rodents

As for the lygon lamb i've heard some mice/kitchen stories on it a while ago and haven't been in there since

Ooph, I hope not, haven't been there in a while. There's also a place directly opposite that does some nice things.

If you want a bad kitchen story, my mother bought a restaurant in 2001 which we renovated. While doing so we found that the septic drain from the male toilets was higher than the inlet for the bar dishwasher and had been filtering dirty water through there since the original place had opened...... Ew.

I overpay, I think it's courtesy to avoid that shit. Expecting others to pick up your shit is fked. If you end up $15 over from overpaying then leave it as a tip or buy beers at a bar.

+1 for Stalactites being shit. My friend loves them, told me he prefers to Lambs, that shit cray.

I'm with u always over pay.. But I get annoyed people want to divide by 4 (example) but my partner and I don't drink alcohol which as we all know costs alot more so it's really unfair for an even split and particularly as it happens every time so works out to be paying heaps more over the course of a year.

Yeh yeh call me tight but i think it's a bit bs.

Nah it's not tight Alex, it's called not letting money come between friends and the best way to do that is to show some brains and consideration when the bill comes round. Not talking about a dollar or two, but $60 down is ridiculous. And it's different to buying mates a beer, that shit usually balances itself out.

My deadshit friends are for most part Asian or have yellow fever and are obsessed with the idea of buying several dishes, then sharing, like a lazy susan, only we're not in a Chinese restaurant. So then they want to average the bill at the end desipite significant differences in consumption and ordering of drinks or desserts...f**k that, I know what I ordered and I know what I need to pay for!

Can u get higher than 99.95?

I hear ya brother

I hate stingy mother fkrs..

No you can't, cbf reading link. Cliffs plz?

Agreed on tight people. I'm fairly generous when people deserve it, but if you are shit with money, don't expect me/others to pay your way

Student taking the Board of studies to Tribunal because she isn't happy with her 99.95 Enter

lol @ had the option of a dictator and didn't use it. Writing fast was my biggest problem in exams, I didn't get no dictator for it. Ungrateful bitch, she'll never be happy in life.

Ric:

- student with no social life unhappy with finishing in the top 0.05% of the state

- hands get sore from writing too much, gets rests during exams and the option of someone else doing her exam for her

- got into uni course she wanted to do, still unhappy

- surprisingly learned despite unawareness of Darwinian theory

Cliffs essentially:

AFTER achieving a university entry rank of 99.95, winning fifth place in the state for chemistry and a place at the University of Sydney studying medicine, the former Abbotsleigh student Sarah Hui Xin Wong believed she could have done better in the HSC.

Sarah's mother, Eileen, lodged complaint after complaint to the school and to the Board of Studies since Sarah completed the HSC in 2008, arguing her daughter was discriminated against.

Says she could have done better, so not sure if 99.95 is the highest?

Ric aware we as you probably got 99.95

Glad I'm replacing this today. There's supposed to be organic lining between those paddles, which have <1mm left in them. 400-500 launches, several DECAs and 3 years of daily driving will do that :D

Flywheel taking forever to machine.

+1 got a mate who would order his shit and then ask if you could spot him....

I have the exact same problem! I barely ever drink, and nearly always order an entree for a main or a main at max. Peeps will buy a bottle to 'share' then split the bill evenly. Very frustrating because they don't notice the difference and if you bring it up at the end you look like a tight arse.

Usually just try to always bring notes and lots of change for the times that aren't like the above. Unless the service is terrible or it's a take away joint I'm generally adding 10-20% on top for the bill, with that margin underpaid bills rarely come about.

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
