damn I wish I had orderd a BRZ quickly

http://www.carpoint....63801&silo=1011

that's a lot of mark-up for a demo model

What are the dealer's quoting for the BRZ?

Just go the Toyota. There about $37K driveway from a few dealers

lol i realise studio and live are different... i'm sure andrew didn't fill the stadium with 11ty billion reference monitors ;)

that's only 1 area of his job lol - poor kid gets worked to the BONE for like $75k (problem is he loves it)

Remember I was a dj/nightclub promoer and involved in studio production for a decade and have toured pretty much every major dance music producer (well the pre 05ish ones anyway) and eveyone has been phazing out ns10's since the early 2000's. we had 2 sets in our studio, and moved 1 set into the loungeroom. there is still 1 set in the studio that gets used for production, but not the final mixdown

ns10's are good reference monitors for production no doubt, but the reason for them being where they were in the industry was moreso that they dont have the best sound, and if your music sounds good on ns10's then it will sound good on anything.

if you want reference monitors for listening, then there are better options is what i'm saying.

you should hear these new ones that andrew bought man.... somewhere in ther region of 5k... they sound amazing

Thats exactly why i like our ns10 because we are 1 of the few that can make audio sound great on them. I think birds wants to do some recording(mixing) as well. We organised him with a simple studio setup to help him get going.

Link me tk the 5k rig he got? And which audio company is he working for/with

dealers cannot quote for the brz online sales only, but a few "major" dealers got a test drive one.

ie docklands will prob have the only test drive one in vic.

but as they sold out for 2 years guess this one thought make a profit

meant to be around 37-38 drive away.

In this mornings news:

Why do girls make up stuff like this shit?

http://www.heraldsun...w-1226451490649

Didn't happen at my school...

girl wants to feel loved.

teacher likes little boys

Charges should be laid against the attention seeker, should be a deterrent to other people making up false claims like false accusations against teachers etc. Waste of police presence, if it was anyone but a school girl they'd cop a large fine for it.

he's the project manager for these guys... they have SERIOUS audio gear man... the warehouse is truly fapworthy

http://www.norwestproductions.com/

as for the ref monitors he has i'll have to ask him... all i know is they sound phenominal

P.a?

R&d is tech role unfortunately. Food science etc.

I believe the marketing, sales, engineering and it roles are filled.

Any grad positions available for mechanical engineering Patrick?

    • I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
    • Semi slicks are horrible for road use, just use a high performance road tyre unless you really need the maximum grip. Noisy, unpredictable (amazing, until they are not), expensive due to very high wear and not good in cold and particular wet. And yes, it is a thing to store cars on stands instead of tyres if you know they are going to be parked up long term.....but who ever realises that a short park is going to stretch into years before it is out again!
    • I know in Australia you'll definitely get above 30c. Parked in the shade in Summer you'll be above that. 😛 But in cooler climates, you might get that warm driving on the highway for a bit, but you'd never get to full heat temp. I'll try and find some of my historical tyre temps between Aus summer and winter (be aware immin the warmer area of Aus too.)
    • I get that taking off the head is best but that's a bit much for "just" valve seals. I was just under the impression that one would be able to rotate to TDC and be able to temporarily drop the valve without losing it and effectively having to remove the head to then recover it. I never knew people actually pushed rope into the cylinder to do valve seals hahaha So just to confirm, just going to TDC will not work? In that case I know when I do valve seals I'll maybe just remove the head and do some other things while I'm there, or just wait until I do an engine build.
