Tread pattern is the same.

It's a different compound. Increased grip at temperature.

They might have had a play around with the sidewall as well, not sure.

But they are still selling both AD08 and AD08R. The R is only available in certain sizes at the moment.

$420 / tyre!!! No way.

OTR if you want AD08's or RTR if you want RS3. Both are under $400 / tyre.

iirc the AD08 is around $385 and the RS3 around $370.

You should, might, kinda be able to get AD08R's in 265 from OTR as well.

Hokie dokie! I'll keep that in mind

Tirerack would be good if the dollar was better

listed at $263USD a tyre on tirerack. But once you add shipping, GST, duties and convert back to AUD it gets exy

Oh, I see.

Edit: what's the tread wear rating on these two?

Well there is a story there....

AD08's are 180.

RS3's are 140 & 200. However there is no difference between the two. They simply had the tyres re-certified at a higher utqg for a racing series they were competing in. The 285/35 R18 RS3's I've used were 200 utqg.

Noticed any difference in wear between these two?

I know you run both in different size so that'd be in-direct comparison but I'm curious and I'm sure others will be too.

How many trackdays did you do with a set of ad08s before moving on with rs3's?

I only ran RS3 as I couldn't get AD08 in 285 or 295. I've done 15 track days on AD08's previously. Those tyres have gone on to be used another 5-6 times.

Ombudsment has taken on my case on the basis that my termination fee is more than my remaining balance.

Telco will be in touch to discuss

told ya... tell them you want to keep the handset and terminate the contract. Moving for work was unavoidable and you purchased the product in good faith assuming that there would be coverage in all major areas etc.

if you sound like you wont accept anything less, however don't come across as arrogant they will likely just give it to you as a commercial decision

f**ked it up. Rookie mistake.

Agreed to pay out the outstanding months ($290) vs the original termination fee of $440

Should have argued to get it less as there is no difference in keeping or cancelling the contract.

Ah well, next case ill be aware.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
