Haha if he wants a big laptop, he wants a big laptop.

That said I'm firmly a believer in the desk top at home. Even 2x 24" not really enough screen real estate :P. Would love 2x 27" set up.

On the laptop front, was waiting for Samsung Ativ 9 Plus or Asus Zenbook Infinity; but XPS 12 convertible with 4G i7, 256gb ssd, 8gb ram, fhd screen is $1599 from Dell atm on sale which is tempting me.

Rip off. I picked mine up with 16gb, ssd + hdd, 765m for $1700.

Much better deal than the dell from what I remember

What you guys are both forgetting is the portability/touch/convertible factor.

Bang for buck, no mistake clevo/metabox offerings from LBO/AL are much more solid, I agree with you guys.

<3 my Samsung 27" PLS 2560x1440 screen

Arguably the best looking 27" out there

Hilarious...

So I'm thinking of going to Mt Donna Buang tomorrow for some snow fun with a friend of mine

Will the GTST on Low Tread / Camber Worn RSR's make it? Diff is nice and tight atm, so won't be single spinning... but would be quite sideways :/

Other option would be to swap to 80-90% Nangkang 17" rims with more wet friendly tyres.

Thoughts? Give up on the skyline for the day and take her car instead?
or my parents liberty (awd)?

Don't want chains for such a little trip, plus not sure if I've got clearance for them

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
