all these fancy new phones have no qwerty keyboard.

that's the only thing keeping me on blackberry, otherwise i'm quite over the shitty battery life and buggy os.

Cos iPhones got that longlife battery... lol

I'd hate to have 100k to spend on a car

Suck it up princess

Don't necessarily have 100k to spend on a car... I do ok but it's more about having to continually purchase material things to make my life somewhat bearable. Not a very sustainable lifestyle but you get that

At least cars and bikes are better than hookers/cocaine

PM to discuss them feels if you wish

Also I believe the whole expensive to maintain stigma comes from the fake rich yuppies who know nothing about cars. They also leasing a car way beyond their means.

I think too it's also the wait time for parts, if it's a part that's not in stock expect to wait and people will bitch about it

the C63 is about to go, the 507 edition is apparently the last car to have that 6.2L V8 in it.

the repalcement will be smaller capacity and prob turboed,

the new Eand S63 are now 5.5L TT

mgiht get deturned version of thost..or some other secret motor..

yeah but cars and bikes plus hookers and cocaine is the best of both worlds no?

Thanks for the offer but I'll just keep dealing with it the way I do...

yeh.

5.5 twin turbo. late 2014 apparently.

they're hoping for 430kw though. the current 507 does 373kw.

driven the e63? thing is a menace

CLA looks gangster but that's really starting to stretch the budget.

Alex, you own your A5 or lease? PM if you want.

I'm gonna go ahead and say lease here.

Knowing Al I am going to assume he sees it as more savvy to use his capital to constantly invest rather than throwing it as a lump on a depreciating asset.

Lease my brother with my work I get mad returns on tax out of it otherwise id be cruisin in a Kia fo real.

Cla isn't as good in real life IMO something about the back slope seems goofy / less elegant than full size cls

Still nice though

If you want something nice Dezz id say spend 50-70 you'll get a very nice low kms good nick prestige car for that and you won't wear the pain of the 50% price drop in first 2 odd years

Cla is a bit of a stretch for a 4 cyl turbo.

But has heaps of street presence, 265 kw fuel economy is actually in existence.. Full new warranty servicing etc financed.

f**k those things go hard as well post-77654-13866295148547_thumb.jpgpost-77654-13866295267874_thumb.jpgpost-77654-13866295375879_thumb.jpg

That's the work one lol post-77654-13866295698368_thumb.jpgpost-77654-1386629583697_thumb.jpg

But in saying that, driving dat v8 507 around last week was such a pleasure! Really have a different appreciation after getting in one.

The normal c63 (non 507) go for about $100k at auctions. And that's stretching it. Should look into that as an option. May end up walking away with something better for a lot cheaper

And not sAying this as a biased opinion.. The depreciation of BMW is fkn shocking. The safety features on merc seriously outrank the rest. And I've tested that at sandown lol

Only had a quick glance but seemed to be second hand ones going for $100k...

Don't wanna go too old if I do go second hand though.. What kind of engine/power are they stock? I know nothing about BMW models

I like em, but too old. Maybe a 35..

Price VS Performance... Is what I am looking at... Comparing to the 335i.

R34 GTR = $40,000 + $10K or $15K = Win!

Yeah R35 is sweet.

But yeah, up to you...

Sure a 335i is a sweet car and different characteristics.

You driven one yet?

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
