What is this cool event on the 28th of September or is it super hush hush? I might need to book a loooooooooooong weekend, my 30th on the 27th.

it's something that I need to finalize booking in.

All Melb central/surounds, and will be amazeballs

duct tape....answer to everything

if you need a spare wheel for the weekend I could provide a 245 17? mmmm lightweight

I've got some 17's with 235's or 17's with 255's that aren't on the car right now if you want to borrow a set for the weekend :) It's going to be a great day out

It's all good guys, used duct tape and it seems to have done the trick..... on a serious note, won't have time to fix broken studs before Sat. Thanks fellas.

racing badge...yeah whoever put it there should be shot, these are the std ones much nicer:

http://www.enkei.com/nt03m.shtml

They are standard Enkei badges, from the 90's. I think there's supposed to be japlish parables either side of the lettering but they don't last and end up being rubbed off somewhere through the years.

Nah man I know nothing about 32s only 33s

Doesn't matter what year, all 32R's look the same, why does everyone always seem to instal LH N1 vents goofy though?

No headlight changes or differences at all over the years?

So last night was driving down south rd and a divvy van was sitting at the lights waiting to turn right...

He ripped out of the turning lane without indicating, cutting off a driver and nearly causing an accident, then sat behind me for about 1km.

After this he floored it and cut into the bike/parking lane and overtook me on the left again without indicating, eying me off as he went past at 7000 odd revs. He then proceeded to cut in front of 2 lanes of traffic to avoid hitting a parked car.... once again, no indicator.

would have been close to double the speed limit by the end of it.

When in front of the first car, he chucks his lights on (presumably so as to avoid a complaint from the driver he nearly killed) and cuts off yet another driver in order to make it to a U-Turn spot.

He then turns the lights off and drives off at like 40kph looking at me and smiling like a knob.

wonder if i have an EPA coming? :/

cliffs notes: cop was driving like a fuckbag to prove he could get away with it and i'll probably cop an EPA because of it

    • Bummer...yeah i "need" something to "ease" up the work and for my driving it would be enough.    Iam counting the tune "without" turbo. I do not mean "cheap" like something from Temu around 200 USD, "Cheap" is something around 1000 USD?
    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
