Can someone buy this so I don't do something stupid

http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/448913-for-sale-vic-1993-r32-gtr-vspec-silver/

You never want to buy an R32, you're always spending money on repairing, not modifying!

....In saying that though, I've worked on and driven Dennis' car numerous times, and it's actually fantastic and I would buy it.

At least the mods are done, leaving only repair expenses...I'd have you guys put it on E85 and swap out the HKS for a twin tip Varex but that's it. I could see that one holding it's value better than most. Any issues or condition / dent stuff you know about Matt? Looks very clean.

Biggest feel of going backwards though, from 33 interior to 32 :(

Interiors make or break cars for me

The reason why I say I'd buy that is because it really is just that clean... no dents that I've seen, no scratches. I'm not saying its a Micolour brand new respray, but it's a VERY clean example of a 32.

Interior is spotless as well, old, but still clean for a 32. I dailied a 32 for a year, I much love my 33's interior more but hey, good aircon in a 32 and you can look past it being old. Just as long as everything works which I think it does in his (bar aircon regas). I just installed those -7s a month or so ago, haven't driven it with those but they're much more fun. Expect something around the 340rwkw range if you're gonna convert it to E85.

Nah kind of glad when that happens, it rules out cars for me lol

Only one I'm perpetually sad about is that immaculate Z tune kitted 34R that was in WA; was actively flying over to inspect it until old mate took a deposit.

Anything over $40 and its not going to be terrible... I prefer in-ear phones for better sound isolation. Instantly equals better sound

Gloria has been registered 12 hours and phase one is almost complete already lol. Car is almost "cool". Still needs a few things

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
