the annoying thing about jewellery is that they can charge whatever the f**k they want for something and make up whatever bullshit, and 95% of everyone dont know any different.

Yep. Bought a ring for 4 grand (got $200 discount) 2 weeks later the same ring was on sale for 2 grand.

thus why you get an independent valuation of the stone..

got the GIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemological_Institute_of_America) prior to purchasing the stone.

valuation came in about 5-6K more than payed for it.

the jeweler discounted massively if you get him to make one, as he knows it not going to sit in the window for 12 months wasting him money and maybe need a redesign or be in a sale.

first time ever custom cheaper than off the shelf

pretty happy all in all.

Rebuilt engine.

+5kw, 500rpm earlier response... 10 degrees less timing... and 10 PSI less boost.

I should immediately put car up for sale

But I won't, because it would feel wrong for anyone else to break it

Ummm did you run it in? Same turbo?

...10psi goddamn

Obviously forgot to rebuild your head...

Sell it!

Good work, post up dyno graph?

Is the engine still being 'choked' by the turbro?

guys, sometimes i dont understand how f**king stupid some people can be.
im in the office doing some quotes, all the doors are closed, gates are locked shut.
dude just rocked up.
called the lane line- no answer, called me, no answer. then tried to push the gate open.....
omg this shit makes my hair hurt.

I can't actually post up the dyno graph because it kills Trent's dyno when trying to do a proper pull.

I'll have to try it on a roller dyno ;)

But I would like to confirm, cause if someone on the forums said they made 408kw (in a manual) at 21 psi (the dyno's gauge) on a GTX3076, with 225rwkw at 3000rpm you would quite rightly think u f**kin w0t m8? And laugh them off the forums.

(yes I ran the engine in beforehand.. my life is empty and I can afford to do 1300run in kms during the week)

Tony coming to Sandown day?

Probably not, my engine isn't where its supposed to be atm

Haha yeah hard about that!

Nah dont doubt your power figures, just curious what its like up top if its still like your previous graph, kinda showing that you have a turbo restriction.

But then again bigger turbo and youll have a million killer wasps which you probably dont want!

When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
