Kinkstaah
Here's an example on my old rims, and yes in this photo the front is clearly higher than the rear as it's on a slope too. That said, if the front was lower, it'd tuck further in, but I can't really find anything more conclusive. Clearly the above photos are gonna work if you're a coupe, and everything on the internet I have found says the front track is 10mm wider than the rear track on a 34 GTT. So I could just be fkin wrong lol. However, I definitely don't need a spacer on the rear with a 9+30, so perhaps the coupe does have a little more space in the guards. I also had 2 different guard rollers tell me the sedan rear guards could be rolled but not pumped as it buckles the door latch and affects the rear door - unlike the coupe Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/390656-r34-gtt-wheel-offset-advice/page/20/#findComment-7925155 Share on other sites

Putting it in a offset calculator going from 9+30 to 10+38: The wheel will extend (poke) out 5mm more. So that should put me into the same fitment as yours with the spacers. That decides it all for me. 18x9+30 Fronts 18x10+38 Rear 245/40/18 for the fronts and I guess I'll run like a 260 something on the rear. Nice car as well. Like the look of more meat on the tyres opposed to the crazy stretch lots of people are rolling 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/390656-r34-gtt-wheel-offset-advice/page/20/#findComment-7925157 Share on other sites

R34NeoLover
Went and test fitted a 18x9.5 with a +20 offset on the rear of a r34 gtt coupe with coilovers, lowered but legal height and no guards rolled. Rims stuck out of the guard quite abit, so +20 is definitely a no go. Ordered for the front 18x8.5 +28 and for the rears18×9.5 + 35 Unsure of the tyre size, most likely a 235/40/18 at the front and probably a 265/35/18 rear. Rota wheels expert who supposedly knows all about our cars, is going to call me on monday and recommend me either 18x10+35 or 18×9.5+35 with either 265 or 275 tyres on the rear. R34NeoLover
This is what I've currently got on the car, came with them when i purchased it years ago. Fronts: 18×8.5+35 with 235/40/18 Rear 18x9+32 with 245/40/18 Using these as daily, will use the rotas only for racing. r34.bryan
Hi, does anyone know if a 18x9.5 +22 265/35 square setup will fit a r34 gtt coupe? I'm looking for a set of SSR GTX01 and I would like to run this size for the concave look. I don't like streched tires so thats why i chose 265/35 on a 9.5j Hope anyone can help me. Thanks! Kinkstaah
Won't fit. It'll almost fit. It may fit removing liners, mutilating guards and running camber that will make you hate your 265's. r34.bryan
Thanks for the info. Would you reckon the same setup with +40 offset will fit? Or do I need to go to 18x8.5 in the front? Or do I need to go to 18x8.5 in the front? a 265 is far too big on the front and with a +40 offset you’ll likely have issues clearing suspension - especially on full lock. 8.5 is better if you don’t want stretch tyres, a 235 will fit nicely. +22, definitely not +40 or the wheel will be far too recessed inside the guards Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/390656-r34-gtt-wheel-offset-advice/page/20/#findComment-7928183 Share on other sites
Kinkstaah
265's can fit. I have them all round on an 18x9 +30. They will pretty much only fit in that space. I also had them in the past with 18x9.5 +27 (because the tyre was mounted in the same spot, centrally speaking). Mind you, you will want to roll guards, make sure your liners are absolutely clipped in, and potentially relocate the driver side loom under the right/driver side front quarter panel, because you can/will rub through it if your springs aren't ultra rock hard. Will your life be a hell of a lot easier with a 8.5in rim and a 255? Yes. r34.bryan
Thanks for the replies. Think I will go for Front: 18x8.5 +44 (245/40) Rear: 18x9.5 +40 (265/35) I've compared this setup to some others and I think it will look good and clears fine. I know +40 and +44 may seem like a high offset, but the rims I want jump from +22 to +40 on the 9.5j and +44 is minimum on 8.5j. Since the +22 will poke out I think the higher offsets will be better. I still need to measure for clearance on the suspension tho. But like I said I've compared this setup to several others in this forum and it seems to fit fine. niZmO_Man
That's because the +44 is for Subaru STI I'd look at other options, there are wheels of similar style with Nissan RWD offsets. * edit * looking at the Japanese SSR site https://www.rd-tanabe.com/ssr/wp/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/GTX01_2020_spec.pdf There is a 18x8.5 +38 option, which would be a tad better.
