colourclassic
My wheel took dead on 6 weeks using streeter, and that was during the xmas postal rush too. sweefu
My last pair took about 8 weeks with Streeter, only due to weird Australian customs and Christmas crap. Highly recommend Streeter though, best dude. reina32r
Very nice build, personally a big fan of the calsonic r32, about ur g sensor issue, has anyone tried the do luck tarzan g-box? Apparently it claims to have fast response for the attesa From what I've heard the digital g boxes do process a lot quicker than the OG box, but if your attessa system isn't very healthy it won't make much of a difference. Still the tarzan g box will probably be one of my next purchases so once it's installed I will report back. Anyone going to Circuit Club on Monday? JimmyRickard
Had fun at circuit club, but had a lot of issues. finished early due to a delaminated tyre. still, I love this car 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/424389-calsonic-r32-gtr-replica/page/10/#findComment-7182670 Share on other sites
JimmyRickard
Just bought these off an SAU'er! Once the wheels arrive from Japan we'll be in business. In the meantime I've been hunting down supersprints and weekend track days I can attend. SSCC and the CAMS NSW website seem to have most of them, are there any other clubs out there that run sprints? Duncan
yeah they are the main 2 organisers for supersprints; between them they run about 10 a year, how many do you need?!? JimmyRickard
I mentioned earlier about my unloading rear diff and this is still an issue. What's the best setup for diff's in an R32 GTR? Currently running standard diffs in front and rear, and I'm not really sure what warrants attention first. Piggaz
For the front - Quaife. Best mod ever! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/424389-calsonic-r32-gtr-replica/page/10/#findComment-7194069 Share on other sites
JimmyRickard
Any particular reason why you would put in a quaife rather than 1.5 way? And where can I buy quaife diff from? What's the damage? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/424389-calsonic-r32-gtr-replica/page/10/#findComment-7194672 Share on other sites
Piggaz
Because everyone that has one raves on about them, I now know why. $1,400 or so. I got mine from the UK but you can get them locally aswell. You don't know it's there until you put your foot down around a corner. No clunking, banging, chirping, just balls out grip when you want it. The stock diffs suck and it's not until you start playing around with them you realise. fatz
Did you get the 4wd drive working reliably yet I would do that first and a rear diff When the engine blows do the front diff Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/424389-calsonic-r32-gtr-replica/page/10/#findComment-7194758 Share on other sites
JimmyRickard
Nah 4WD is still balls. Waiting on a digital g sensor from japan. Shimmed or 1.5way in the rear what do you guys reckon? intercpt
1.5 way or gtfo. Shimmed is cheap and ok, but not ideal. Why scrimp on such a great track car?! JimmyRickard
What sort of difference in performance are we talking between shimming and a 1.5way? What 1.5way would you recommend? What about a quaife in the rear? Don't have any issues with spending money on good shit, but I am still on a budget and if I can get away with cheaper options where the difference in performance is minimal that's the route I'll be taking. I was under the impression shimming a rear diff in a GTR was good enough, so I'm interested to hear the differences Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/424389-calsonic-r32-gtr-replica/page/10/#findComment-7196091 Share on other sites
Duncan
I run a standard, shimmed diff in my race car and it seems to go adequately. I can't see any reason to spend 4x as much on an aftermarket option. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/424389-calsonic-r32-gtr-replica/page/10/#findComment-7196231 Share on other sites
