Look, I blow hot and cold with Lewis. Right now its cold. VERY COLD! I don't get his head space.

Rosberg, he is in a class above Lewis. he doesnt have the raw talent...but he is still damn good and he is a team player. Look at his conduct in Malaysia last year...never speaks out about the poltics of the team...uses disarming answers when retarded journos try to get a line because they seem to think F1 isnt F1 unless they are trying to find a Senna v Prost controversy.

Rosberg disarms it...Lewis seems to love it. Right now Rosberg hasnt been rattled and was interesting to learn that he had Lewis beat in Bahrain except for Lewis turning up the tune of the engine disregarding the pit wall instructions. I am backing Rosberg mental toughness against Lewis's

Everytime they shove a mic in Lewis's face he falls for it by giving them retarded statements to run off with. Then he will play victim when the press say negative things about him. The SkySport guys are doing a lot of apologising for him but past race Hill and Herbert seemed to get off the positivity train and not defending Lewis's acitons

I don't really care but I would put money on Lewis's eye problem being just a sook for the fact he wasnt going to be able to get the job done so went for the excuse book.

I seriously thought Dan was going to drop it. 1.5.-1.8 seconds a lap quicker over the last 8 or so laps...he was MOVING. But once again showed his class and maturity behind the wheel. And when the throw a mic in front of him...he is a team player that diffusers retarded journos trying to make something of the 5-1 quali record and points finishes vs Vettel's poor year to date.

Was happy to see Romain fighting the car and bringing it home...despite car problems all week and good on Bianchi, Happy it wasnt his hack team mate that got points, but sad it wasnt Caterham and Kobi :(

Oh, and I think this weekend was the first of what we are going to see a lot of from the half way point on. Engine failures and engine penalties. Ferrari and Renault runners have used almost their entire seasons worth of gear before the half way mark!

Yeah I was surprised to hear about the boost mode thing. Also this:

Hamilton was confronted with the knowledge, which emerged at the weekend, that on his way to victory in Spain two weeks before he had switched to an engine 'boost' mode the drivers had been forbidden from using.

He responded by saying that it did not affect the outcome of the race, and that anyway Rosberg had already done the same thing in the course of their titanic battle for victory in Bahrain last month.

Shame to see Marussia get lucky and Caterham not. Sauber must be spitting chips too - what if they cant get on the board?

Anyone else watch all the Sky Sports pre race stuff?

Johnny Herbert did a piece driving around Monaco with Hamo... He mentioned that he thought Hamo was a lot calmer this year etc...Hamilton went on to say that he is always trying to solve problems in life, much like everyone else in the world, and that he had the same issues as us, such as bills to pay etc...

Noogah plz.

With the relatively short run from the start line to turn 1 in Canada, we might actually see a car other than a Mercedes leading a lap in 2 weeks time if someone can get a good start from row 2 if the mercs lock out the front row again.

Amazing that it can make that much of a difference. IF that was any other team on the weekend Ric would have come 2nd. Problem is there is only Two places you can overtake on that track. Both are after straights. So he would catch Hamilton and then when it came down to overtaking Hamilton would pull away just enough.

The more I see and hear of Lauda the more I think I am starting to warm to him. He calls it as it is Versus the Horner approach of gently, gently it encourages Vettel to do what he pleases. I can't see Lauda being so understanding...and seems a lot of commentary our of Sky, Merc team etc seem to have the same reservations over Hamo and his bleeding heart / victim ways.

Believe the only person who doesn't believe Lewis is being a dick is Lewis. Totally concur re Lauda but that is the benifit of age, experience :-) Lewis ungracious attitude doesn't reflect well on Mercedes so they will need to stamp it out.

Doesn't stop me wanting the fastest racer winning though :-)

I dont think either of them are the fastest racers out there. Im not saying they are at the bottom but that car has alot to do with the domination so far

Nico won because he started from pole. He started from pole because he fraudulently claimed pole on Saturday when the stewards should have sent him to the back of the grid. What is slightly bewildering is the fact that so many people think it might have been an accident. "But the stewards believed his side of the story?" is the cry from Rosberg's supporters (and Lewis's detractors). The race stewards saw nothing wrong in Nelson Piquet Junior's deliberate crash at the Singapore Grand Prix and we now know that was about as genuine as Flavio Briatore's love of motorsport.

If the circumstances weren't suspicious enough already, if Nico's hands sawing at the wheel to create the situation weren't dodgy enough, why did he stick his car in reverse? You'd think if you genuinely messed up the Mirabeau corner you'd want to get out of everyone else's way, not rejoin the circuit when cars were coming though. It's not as though there was two minutes left on the clock and he could get another lap in, it was down to zero time.

On Sunday I didn't realise that the forbidden engine mode that Lewis used in Spain had been used by Rosberg in Bahrain. Lewis apologised for Spain, Rosberg apologised in Monaco; for the qualifying mistake, but not the deceit.

    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
