Milkmun
Sounds mad, makes me want a dual tip so bad instead of the 1000inch cannon. Almost went deaf when you closed the varex and revved it. shubby0901
WOOOOOPPP!! 100 posts..yay Thanks guys. Yeah when the valve is closed its got this fighter jet kinda sound..weird but cool. Personally, I'm not a fan of the canon look or sound so it was twin tips from the start. Looks more stock at the same time. The exhaust sounds really cool when actually driving, will try n get some videos one evening. Keen for the next part for which saving up has started In the meantime, eyes peeled for smaller additions/improvements..always open to suggestions... shubby0901
Cheers guys. Performance wise, its not really much different, it feels like it revs faster but that may just be the noise making it feel like that. With the valve closed, boost takes slightly longer to spool but its not really noticeably worse.Car needs a proper tune to fully utilize the exhaust. Burger
Glad i'm not the only one that prefers the twin tip rather than the cannon. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456696-living-with-an-r33-gtst/page/6/#findComment-7688979 Share on other sites

shubby0901
Yeah...seems to attract bad drivers. I would have thought the loud exhaust makes people more aware of me being there...Got a quote from Spikes Auto today. Should be all fixed soon if everything goes to plan. shubby0901
Car's all fixed up, thanks to Spikes Auto. He also sealed the lights and fixed a possible boot leak too. shubby0901
That's good to hear. Any other plans for it? I want to but may have to sell in a couple of months. If I see anything cool on sale I might buy it though... 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456696-living-with-an-r33-gtst/page/6/#findComment-7709157 Share on other sites
shubby0901
Bored at work so thought I might as-well think about what I want to do more..time and money is limited but no harm in having dreams. Performance: > Rest of exhaust changed, (Dump, cat etc)> Nistune + Retune > R33 GTR Brembo's > Return flow intercooler....maybe.... Aesthetics: > Change front bar. I like the Nismo/Jetspeed thing > Install some form of rear diffuser >GTR Pods > Change front seats, either R33 GTR's or some other branded ones The list goes on and on but these things I want to do atm. shubby0901
Not much progress. Was bored today so I thought I'll give something a go. I cut a blocking plate out of a coke can and installed it on the BOV for some sick pigeon noises. Was all right with car in garage and airbox cover off but while driving wasn't very noticeable so I got rid of it and went back to stock. What pod filters do people recommend? I have a 3A racing (yes the one from autosalon mag) - seems quieter than my SCA one I had on there before. Had the BOV blocked when I had the SCA BOV and the pigeon were strong with this one Check out my build thread if you want to see how I made my pod filter legal (enclosure, brackets etc) Edited May 21, 2016 by kingtube69 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456696-living-with-an-r33-gtst/page/6/#findComment-7730879 Share on other sites
