There's no shortage of second & third tier lenders that will fall over themselves to give people loans at excruciatingly high rates...

Remember Bankruptcy does not mean you can't borrow money, just that you can't be a director and a few other things...
Credit defaults are for the lender to be able to make an informed decision, they don't mean no one will lend to you if you have solid justification

I'm just trying to work out how they get offered 400Kish on low income with a bankrupcy

thought loans were getting harder not easier.

Spose it depends if was a Part 9 or Part 10 insolvency or full bankruptancy

In any case it should stay on the credit history and just mean muchharder to get a loan and should get higher interest rates

Hamish a question since you work at the bank

Do Banks offer mortgage brokers and public the same interest rate?

The commission that mortgage brokers get is that seperate or built into a higher interest rate offered to a mortgage broker from the bank

We offer the exact same products via both channels - some brokers may try to lead clients towards the more expensive product that gives them a better commission however this is actually not allowed as brokers are required to be at arms length from product selection.

The commission is paid by the bank and not the client nor the loan

They will all flag that the client would be considered higher risk and all appear on credit files.

A part IX and X really mean the same thing, the main difference is the expense in applying for the X due to the CPA requirement.

What are the chances that of the two ssds in the laptop, the one I put in the dock first was never used as the other one never reached capacity? Unlikely I'd imagine, but I only tried one of the 2 last night.. I'll try the second one tonight but I'm not expecting anything different..

Intradastng

That clears it up.

Just thought it was weird when i tried applying for a home loan my broker couldnt match my interest rate with the big fours when i went direct. Maybe just a crap broker.

It's got 2 x 128gb ssds and the 1TB sata ..just plugged the second ssd into the dock, it came up as E drive straight away but then followed by a 'disk needs to be formatted' message..
Opened disk management and it's showing more info than with the other one... Can anything be recovered from it?

Ummmmmm, the two 128GB SSD's weren't set up as a RAID 0 array were they?

If so, you won't be able to access the data on either of them without them both being plugged in and having a Raid controller that knows what to do with them

If it has two and they were in raid0, you won't be getting anything off of them without having the same chipset to plug them into. (Basically not going to happen)

raid1 is a better setup to be running if you have the choice, but you only get the space of one drive and you can recover from a dead drive or a dead computer as both drives contain all the same data without requiring the chipset that put it on there to read it.

I disagree with manufacturers selling products with raid0 setups, that shouldn't be an option for most people as they don't understand the risks and drawbacks involved in doing it, just put the one bigger Pci-e ssd in it, it's easily faster than two sata ones anyway.

    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
    • See if you can thermal epoxy a heatsink or two onto it?
    • The other problem was one of those "oh shit we are going to die moments". Basically the high spec Q50s have a full electric steering rack, and the povo ones had a regular hydraulic rack with an electric pump.  So couple of laps into session 5 as I came into turn 2 (big run off now, happily), the dash turned into a christmas tree and the steering became super heavy and I went well off. I assumed it was a tyre failure so limped to the pits, but everything was OK. But....the master warning light was still on so I checked the DTCs and saw – C13E6 “Heat Protection”. Yes, that bloody steering rack computer sitting where the oil cooler should be has its own sensors and error logic, and decided I was using the steering wheel too much. I really appreciated the helpful information in the manual (my bold) POSSIBLE CAUSE • Continuing the overloading steering (Sports driving in the circuit etc,) “DATA MONITOR” >> “C/M TEMPERATURE”. The rise of steering force motor internal temperature caused the protection function to operate. This is not a system malfunction. INSPECTION END So, basically the electric motor in the steering rack got to 150c, and it decided to shut down without warning for my safety. Didn't feel safe. Short term I'll see if I can duct some air to that motor (the engine bay is sealed pretty tight). Long term, depending on how often this happens, I'll look into swapping the povo spec electric/hydraulic rack in. While the rack should be fine the power supply to the pump will be a pain and might be best to deal with it when I add a PDM.
    • And finally, 2 problems I really need to sort.  Firstly as Matt said the auto trans is not happy as it gets hot - I couldn't log the temps but the gauge showed 90o. On the first day I took it out back in Feb, because the coolant was getting hot I never got to any auto trans issues; but on this day by late session 3 and then really clearly in 4 and 5 as it got hotter it just would not shift up. You can hear the issue really clearly at 12:55 and 16:20 on the vid. So the good news is, literally this week Ecutek finally released tuning for the jatco 7 speed. I'll have a chat to Racebox and see what they can do electrically to keep it cooler and to get the gears, if anything. That will likely take some R&D and can only really happen on track as it never gets even warm with road use. I've also picked up some eye wateringly expensive Redline D6 ATF to try, it had the highest viscosity I could find at 100o so we will see if that helps (just waiting for some oil pan gaskets so I can change it properly). If neither of those work I need to remove the coolant/trans interwarmer and the radiator cooler and go to an external cooler....somewhere.....(goodbye washer reservoir?), and if that fails give up on this mad idea and wait for Nissan to release the manual 400R
