Hello all.

I've searched everyone and can't really find any information regarding a butterfly valve on a diesel? Is not a good idea because carbon buildup would be very fast ultimately sticking the

valve one way? I just bought a 2005 3500 that I use for my personal truck as well as my tree service company I started this year. I have removed the catalatyc converter as well as the

silencer ring and air baffle on the turbo. I do a lot of in town work and would like to keep the quiet disposition of the truck while going to and from jobs but I also put a lot of miles on the

highway pulling very heavy loads of wood and saw chips. I think this set up would be ideal for me and my situation. Any help would be appreciated!

f**king kÜnts that drive decatted anything on the streets, let alone f**king 3500 series trucks spewing diesel soot all over the place can all go and f**k themselves and their sisters. And anyone who supports their right to do so can pull their pants down and wait in line too.

Spam bot shenanigans? Same post from 2014:

Yeah, it sticks a sneaky link into the quoted post. Though that original post looks like a real person. I hope he reconsidered it since.

Probably the average age of everyone here has moved up a decade too and people have re-learned the lessons of the 50s and 60s. Only takes a small group of people decatting their cars to have a significant impact on local air quality.

Yeah I'd agree with that. My Gtst had a gutted cat. Made people sick behind me.

Now I'm keen to buy high flow dumps for the 335i and they're twice as expensive as the catless dumps! Its not surprising why people ditch them.

Btw, this looks familiar... https://www.cumminsforum.com/threads/butterfly-valve-on-exhaust.1342561/

Put the f**king catalytic converter back on it and stop being a f**king retard.

I don't think OP actually exists but I do like seeing you go off at it. :D

On the bots topic: I too was an idiot and decatted some, yeah, all, of my old street cars thinking that that would give me more powers

It did make the exhaust a little louder, and I may have gained a killerwasp or 2, but the fuel smell was fairly horrible

He'll, the bogan cruise ship had 100 cell cats when I first got it, they did nothing for removing the stink

Replacing the 100 cell cats with some actual Euro spec ones fixed the stench

For a potential killerwasp or 2 running a decat on a street car is silly

And this guy doesn't want to kick you in the balls >

Euro 4 or 5 or 6 spec?

I'm heading down the same path (soon), however might do a 3" AES valve to bypass the cat/mid muffler and join back to the rear muffler if post turbine pressure creeps up.

i.e. no Western Sydney GT-R mode

We have pretty loose emission laws here in NZ and I did not need a cat to keep my car legal…. However I may look to install one in the future as I’m hoping it will also remove a db or two from the volume of the exhaust.

If you get a chance to do before/after dyno runs when you throw the real cats in I would be super keen to see the results

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
