RB20DE Running Rough After Plenum Change
GH05T replied to Davidson96's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
if you change the plenum and you have an issue, why would you think the issue is elsewhere? -
60k is ample for almost any 32. a clean 32r now is about $35, keep $5k for resto and maintenance stuff rego and insurance. happy days.
-
put a proper ad up, linking to elsewhere is lazy, also your apparently asking SAU for $2k more than whats on the add? where is the love man.... where is the love?
-
so its running on a stock ecu at the moment? is it running?

My R33 isn't starting, am out of ideas
GH05T replied to R33gtst2016's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
... what would the battery have to do with anything? what made you think the fuel pump was making the bucking issue, sounds like an afm issue or ...well any of the massively covered problems with hesitation. how did you diagnose the problem to the fuel pump? why would a fuel pump issue cause fuel burn? surely it would cause a leaning out issue? work your way back, check whatever you have touched and see what is wrong. once its fixed i bet my balls your original issues are still there. search about hesitation/ bucking issues and work out whats actually wrong. and if it hasnt been driven in a while do a service, fluids, filters, spark plugs, the basics -

Gh05t's 32 Gtr Daily Cleanup
GH05T replied to GH05T's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
ok, worked out what the issue is, as i said very very odd that a wheel would fit a 33r but not a 32r, whoever refurbed the wheels put the front and rear faces on the wrong barrels. the brake clearing fronts will now be swapped onto the front barrels and the correct offset rears will go back onto the big lips. this will of course mean i dont need to run spacers and the rears will fit the guards (better) the offsets at the moment were obviously way off but all will be fixed. as for the welded in lips in the hub bores...... no f**kin idea, i have no idea why that would be done but their gonna get bored back out this week. should get them on shortly. -
i love a good 31 build. welcome mate i remember back in the day on the r31skylineclub forum there were coilover kits which you could weld the r31 hub to. these were the best option i saw when going through the motions. the S13 stuff worked but the highest settings were still very low. **edit** found it, Angrys kits. https://www.facebook.com/pg/AngryIndustries/photos/?tab=album&album_id=115545405206002

to simplify the subject, a 2000rmp issue is a redflag for very common issues with RB engines. it WILL be the usual suspects. these are very easy to check and fix. the same answers will have arisen in any thread with a 2000rpm missfire/ hesitation. have a read in the threads about what they found how they found them and how they fixed it. when i had the issue the solder inside the afm plug had deteriorated, going over bumps gave me my issue, they could have dried ages ago over time and you dislodged it when you took the dump off. check the plugs, maby resolder them... there is a link somewhere... i know i posted one when i hit the issue. but there is nothing the dump can do within reason to cause the issue your having now. dont look for unicorns when you find horse poo,

i just put 2000 rpm into the search, here are 10 of the 1000 which came up. if you want another 789674653 threads search afm or cas or missfire or limp mode ect
-
just search your symptoms, i couldn't even begin to explain how many times this comes up. it has nothing to do with your dump but something else you have affected as said.
