  1. jeezuz...welll, i'm confused...very in-depth post, can you dumb it down for me, in layman's terms? Re "Even so, I would expect launch/longitudinal traction to not be substantially better on a 335 vs a 235 of the same tyre (if they existed). I would expect maybe some small difference, and that might be worthwhile, but it couldn't be night and day." in theory then given a dry day on a bitumen surface of reasonable quality, a 195 cheesecutter would have roughly equivalent grip to say a 265?
  2. i got quoted around $170 for replacement shock, easily available. Front passenger was knocking, confirming by swapping out with other struts then swapping sides....but....it went away, without needing to do anything...? Still going strong so far so good. Have had them for about 2 1/2 years now.
  3. Yep not much of a difference, but then again, doesn't hurt either...and really, every littld bit helps...IMO a mod doesn't slways need to be a 'big' difference to be worthwhile. If yr getting it cheap, chuck it on there.
  4. Neither lol, will be sweet f.a ... But seriously, on mine it made it "slightly" more precise steering, probably more just keeping going where u point it, on the oversteer side i guess u'd say. Prob notice more on track, which i've not tried.
  5. From the look of it, it is the brace that joins the castor arms so that shouldn't be an issue. Search the cusco braces and see if they list the same one for both cars, for a more definite answer.
  6. saw a burnt out r33 by the side of the road in industrial estate in Inala today, dunno if anything to do with yours but it was like ouchhhh....buy yr own car u carnz instead of stealing someone elses...
  7. Everything toyota is better lol, higher quality materials used. My nissanhead engine builder mate even agrees. Broken exhaust studs not common on toyotas but seems expected on nissans after a while.
  8. use your mum's hairdrier in the intake....cos hot air into engine makes it easier to burn faster
  9. Roadsafe BJ5515 - suits for Rear Hicas Ball Joint
  10. Lol...hardly matters to most ppl but obviously does to OP, cause he asked. 99% sure its from rear of engine to front, with front hose leading to air bleeder screw.
  11. Also that's not alot of toe-in on front, which will lead it to 'tramline' and pull off-line more easily.
  12. Also rhs camber is fair bit more than left on yhat report. Lhs would usually be more than right on a road car, tom compensate for camber of road.
  13. Ahhh k. Yeah i put that down to them just never actually measuring/fitting one to an r33, so they're not putting they ass on the line saying they fit. As mentioned i took a shot znd just bought them, they were about 3mm longer, basically exactly the same and fitted fine.
  14. yeah I'm not seeing the problem....? what's the issue with the roadsafe part numbers you found?
  15. i suggest Roadsafe rack ends and tie rods, available thru Bursons. About $50 each I think, for rack ends? I ordered R34 ends and rods and they were the same as those on my r33 s2.
  16. Haha i'm very glad you're moving, that's my neighbourhood now. Best of luck with it too.
  17. Damn straight. I braced the gap in the stock mount with some very hard rubber.... Was bloody terrible, vibration city. New nismo tranny mount from japan off ebay was only $87 delivered. Win.
  18. I have had nismo, Hel and brakewest lines. Brakewest definitely the best IMO, thick and oem style fittings, 100% adr too. Made in aus doen in melb, good price.
  19. yeah I'd be extremely surprised if a cheap metal cat like magnaflow would stand up to the high temps and rigors of trackwork, think that would be asking alot of them. Street shouldn't be any isssue though. I'd be putting in a 3in race pipe during track use myself.
  20. I would like to know this too if you don't mind, I've used magnaflow 200c metal cats on two of my cars with no problems, and they're fairly cheap on the scale of cats. While there may be issues passing emissions with a 100c cat, I'd much rather take my chances of "maybe/maybe not" passing a test, than certainly being screwed running no cat.
  21. For general porpoise, venom 100c 5inch metal cat, IMO.
  22. have been looking at the Bride replica seats lately, and price is much better for a pair than just one. From this ebay seller, $400 each delivered in a pair as opposed to $580 for a single. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-pair-2-PCS-Bride-Style-Stradia-II-Low-Max-Semi-Bucket-Reclinable-Sport-Seats-/181221421509?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a31a371c5 so, wondering if anyone in the Brisbane area wants to go halves in the pair?
  23. ??? She was the one that kicked the jack out..
  24. heh...I'm not.
  25. this happened to me last year when the metal jack mount under the car bent (minus the me being crushed to death part). Had some serious pant-soilage when the car dropped and I heard the clang as the jackstand took the load.....gtfo from under the car in record time lol
