Right - so tell me again where you sit on the SAU Top 10 at Eastern Creek? Oh thats right you aren't on the list.

Ok then - so tell me again where you sit on the SAU Top 10 at Wakefield? Oh thats right you aren't on the list.

Hmmm... then tell me again where you sit on the SAU Top 10 at Oran Park? Oh thats right you aren't on that list either.

Now you are from NSW aren't you? And you have been to all these tracks plenty of times before right? So perhaps we should look no further than you for our excuse supply.

What a load of diatribe. But if bragging about winning thrown fights helps you sleep then more power to you. :)

All I recall is a bunch of cry babies whinging about Dave cheating, he was the quickest at Wakefield in a basic GTR with big single…and Johnny Boy being quickest at EC. Cant remember the excuse used for Vic losing that one… I fell asleep reading it. :)

So, if you want to brag about beating a std car in your NASA launch modules, packed full of so much technology and god knows what that they set of geiger counters….then ok. I suppose being Victorian gives you the right to always be right. :)

lol, thank god you're on my team troy.

troy truly is the master of talking it up. also an accomplished drinker and a good looking bloke to boot. now I wonder if he can steer...

I'm pretty sure I can ban Roy from the Vic section somehow, now where IS that button :D

:D

:D Dont worry Adz, none of this applies to you. You play A Grade in my books. You got the GTT, drink like a drinker, and could no doubt beat the shit out of me if you so chose to. Fear is a form of respect isnt it :)

lol, I can trump that adz, I can ban the both of you!!

Yeh, my man The Count is way cool and all powerful. Do not fark with his authority! ;)

If i was to bed the engine for a 1000km, get it fully tunned, etc, and probably do a few more k's of normal driving; Is such a long drive bad for a fresh engine?

I have already inquired about the week off, just hoping car will be ready.

From my knowledge, something like that would be ideal as it is fairly constant and keeping it below 4K revs and also resisting the temptation to take it above. Your mechanic would probably be the best one to ask/engine builder.

As above.

There is no such thing as "running" in a motor these days if its built right.

Bed the rings on the dyno and off you go. Watch it for the first 500kms just to make sure its not eating oil, pressures etc.

Thats it.

Adz - FYI all up was around $1K for the week for me (except the small amount incurred as result of one of the rules)

You coming along Alan?

Oh yeah, im in for the tracks aswel - gtr or supra, either way

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
