Yep definatley. Watched it with my own eyes. Thats why i question it every time someone says more rwkw to awkw. Unless it was a freak run. Only tried it once

Could have had slight wheel spin in rwd mode, would explain the power gain going to awd

I think any variance is well within the accuracy of most dynos, 10kw when you are talking in the 400s is nothing.

maybe, the car was tuned on the 2wd dyno and was let to cool before running in 4wd.

My R32 GTR

587awhp at 21psi (with 50/50 water/meth)

573awhp at 20psi (without meth)

2.6l - stock nur bottom end

270/270 10.8 procams

GT4088R .85ar

Meth is just there for cooling

Much lag?

Dyno sheet?

I made that with a GT35r on an RB25

The car had a lot more in it but we stopped at 21psi because of the stock nur bottom end. I'm working on getting a 2.8 for next year and might switch turbos.

I probably would have done a 35r but got the 40r as a complete kit. The 40r should be able to go 700whp if I do keep it.

I'm not at home right now but will try to upload the dyno sheet once I get home.

because everyone likes a happy customer.

Well put.

I'd rather have bad news but also be told a solution rather than a lie but everyone likes something different.

Anyway come on there HAS to be more with 400+ on sau! Post up!

all of this jiba jaba about rwkw & awkw hahaha - stevo, lets line em up?

hang on, your car ran on a different dyno to mine...where does it stop hahaha

Meh I couldn't care less about the awkw vs rwkw debate, drivability is what's most important IMO. We can run at WSID once Paul is back and the exhaust finished....maybe half throttle till half track then open them up, next run we just go all out and get booted

Power to me isn't everything, response is more important IMO than outright power. When I go to dash5's that will be an interesting comparison

I've tried to stop but like everyone says, "it never ends" haha

Still want to see your graph with 260 and 270 procams to see the difference

My money is on 260's to give the best result

my graph?

you cant beat the sound of lumpy big cams, it 'sounds' fast

I agree the sound is awesome, I've got that lump going quite nicely

Maybe I'm just too keen on finding "the perfect setup" but I'm fairly certain a smaller duration cam would move your curve to the left a fair bit

Anyway, it's not a cheap thing to find out unless you had no dyno or labour time to pay for

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
