how ever I'm recently seening some 260rwkws results based on 15psi from Toshi's remaps using stock injectors, afm and ecu.

Sounds like a high number for stock injectors and afm.

I wouldnt trust a number like that

Magic. Trust in magic!

Never the less, injectors, AFM, ecu. Should see 240-250rwkw on 14-16PSI on a 21U.

I call high dyno reading @ 260rwkw on standard fuel system without a high pressure regulator or something...it'd be absolute knife edge. Back in the day it was always ~230rwkw max for the standard gear, what's changed?

nothing

just one guy claiming he can do more

Hello, ive got a r33 s2 and wondering what is your best hi-flow turbo for response, only looking to make 220-250rwkw, stock internals with associated mods. Its a daily and would be looking to run between 10-14psi max.

cheers

Agree with Tao, standard high flow would be best for that power, though I think you should consider going the extra step and getting a hybrid SS1PU...it won't be any laggier than the high flow and will give you some extra head room down the track should you want to run more boost. My R33 is a daily and the SS1PU is great in that role.

Toshi mentioned some thing to spool turbo without fuel to increase power. I don't deny or fully understand his concept but the results are extremely tempting. I guys it would be good of toshi can enter some input.

I dont fully understand anything Toshi says, anything he says appears in text boxes and my eyes get an error saying 'language not installed'.

FWIW though, I trully believe theres more to tuning then adding timing and pulling fuel. I know his theory is that the stock injectors are sensitive to pressure, getting choppy above 15psi, so i would say increasing rail pressure is also a shitty idea if hes right. The combo of stock FPR and stock injectors run at 15psi seem to be Toshi's 'sweet spot' for tuning.

Forgive me for thinking aloud here, but injector spray pattern would have a lot to do with the burn and in turn would change how effective the burn is. By 'rule of thumb' 370cc is 370hp on an RB25 = 277kw. With some deduction the ability to hit 260kw on a 'happier' dyno is definitely there.

Or we could just keep screwing boost into things coz thats all that makes power. T25 on 40psi runs 10s (till destruction).

That's 370 at the flywheel though...which is around 230-240 atw ..

I don't see how it is when i know of cars doing 400rwkw on 555cc injectors.

400kw=540hp. Allow 15% for "happy dyno fun times" and there's your drive train loss.

Its not happy dyno.

I tuned S15 on same dyno (MX5 mania dyno) and I made 198kw.

He went to unigrup dyno day and he made 207kw on unigrup dyno.

You can ask him over PM.

Ok I stand corrected, now show me one RB.... :glare:

Toshi it will he good if you can explain the method (doesn't have to he in great detail) about how you can make 260rwkws on a stocky high flow and factory injectors and why most other tuners are straggling to pass 230rwkws.

Just to clear things up i will run one of toshi's highflow r33s on the dyno for free. If it is possible it would be awesome.

Tao we will be trying the new nozzles(bolts) on elusivity's ss2 next thursday. Are there any tricks to this ?

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
