Nice rims too Ben...

I replaced the radiator hoses today, blue silicons to match the cooler piping.

Also ripped the rear disks off to get machined. Found a seized caliper so I ended up having to remove and repair it also. I fitted the QFM pads and bled the system with no other issues. My brakes should be sorted now.

please dont cut em up chuckie....if you don't want them or want something different I'll get a pair of the UAS ones to swap for yours....we can only run the factory ones in production car racing and I've never seen another set

Duncan Don`t PANICK ,I would not do that DUDE REALLY  ,Backing PLATE`S i would like to messs with, only small inlet to ROTOR`S  ,so it`s either make only PLAY :bunny: ,look at what i can do with stock backing plate`s,

But I think they make a DIFFERENCE to BRAKING :( Or may be me not driven Bus for while :) ,

But Nice to get her BACK ON ROAD :):) few more small bit`s to sort out ,

JUST happy to have finished main stuff & look at other stuff i need to finish off,

Cheer`s Chuckie.

Finally fitted the last bits of body back to the car... Washer jets, fabric thing under the bonnet and the end caps for the side skirts which are all sikaflexed up and taped on to set... It's amazing how two small things make the car looked "finished"... Oh and installed the hdi d spec boost contoller and boost gauge last night, low boost tuned to 10psi. Will set a high boost after I get a new dump and front pipe. Also looks like I'm picking up my rb30 short motor next week :D

tried to fit the splash guards to no evail... Had both the ones that came off the old car and my s2 ones... Might try some r34 ones and see how I go...

Today my stag got some luuuurve

New oil

Oil Filter

Spark plugs

Injector clean treatment

Tyre rotation

Top up of all fluids

Fixed instrument panel bug I had

Some time this week will change the 3 ancillary belts.

Also discovered my lowerball mount boots are torn and the random leak/weeping from around the back of the transfer case is still around. Will get photos of the leak area... anyone have any experience with these lowerball joints?

This is what 50,000k old Champion gold series plugs look like. Replaced them with NGK coppers will change them more often...

Today when i was at work i put the stag on a pit and removed the front driveshaft, :)

I plugged the hole that the shaft came out of with a small plastic plug.

Then i pulled the 4wd fuse and took it for a spin in the wet :D

Car feels really good in rwd, pretty happy. Glad mine came with an LSD too. I might leave it in rwd for a while.

I noticed a lack of stagea youtube vids, might have to make some vids to put up soon :)

aren't you supposed to let the pressure out of the attesa system as well, i though the clutches for the front shaft were preloaded with pressure?

No worries, that's why I blocked my plates. I Really didn't think I would get flamed so hard. Ah well won't make that mistake again.

Peace.

Don't worry about the plates... It's the fact a stagea is very incognito champ... Oh and bright yellow, I'm sure others who have a yellow s2 don't want local cops pulling them over asking about burnout and the such

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
    • I hope that is not something that bad. From what i remember he said that only first gear is "hard" to get in and that he has couple of ideas what to try next but idk 😕  hope it is not gearbox out. I will let you know.
    • If it's not the hydraulics, it is probably gearbox back out. Usually as per @Duncan's post, or otherwise associated with not getting the throwout fork positioned correctly. All the way up to catastrophically bolting shit back together without it being aligned properly and wrecking the clutch/input shaft/flywheel/something else.
