Thanks Duncan.

I knew this would be a concern for you, I'll try to iron it out today.

fixed for me thanks heaps Christian, it seems a lot of people want to complain but don't critique properly

maybe once the dark skin is sorted out SAU can hold another competition for a new banner behind the SAU logo

Is there any way in the new version to show attached picture thumbnails in posts, instead of a link i have to click? Is this a setting, or possibly an issue with my adblock?

As per screenshot, can be annoying. Also appears to be an odd "Post_snapback" at the top of the post, instead of quote box

Will have a look at the templates. Standard skin only shows links. Not affected by adblock.

Legacy artefact of the old quotes. Will probably have to do a scan through the DB with a regular expression to correct it.

i'm glad to report, it's all looking good from here

runs nice and smooth/fast. i was a bit worried at first we'd have a nugget, like hardtuned.

good work guys

now how about an Android app? :P

oh. and please. whatever you do, dont implement the same java image viewer they have on hardtuned. it's horrible.

so far so good guys,

the only thing ive noticed is that you cant go straight to the newest post of a thread with the mobile version which is slightly annoying

mine goes to the first unread post (if there is one), or to the last post. the forum has been reset and it doesn't remember what posts you have read or haven't read. when it came back online today i went through and marked all forums as read once i had looked at new posts and now it operates just fine.

also, got the mobile site working on my phone again. reset cookies, form data, etc.

When will the messages/inbox be working again? Was in the middle of a trade and all his details are in the PM.. Will all the old msg be there??

Also where is the " new posts" button? And page numbers to skip to the end etc..? I hope they get fixed

Come on mate - have you even bothered to read the thread?

They will be fixed when the PM's are converted.

Until they are converted.

There is not a "set" time. There is 100,000's of PMs given my own inbox has over 5,000

The forum we were running, had PM's in the same datebase/area far as i know.

The new forum/version had them stored in a different area/format.

Thus each single one needs to be converted. It will be fixed in a day or so i believe going of Christians Twitter posts.

Agreed. Done.

Very minor issue I noticed, I didn't see it in the list.

When editing a signature, the old signature uses HTML style <a href... and other tags.

Hitting save on that will result in the html tags becoming text content (so my signature had <a href=<website>> text </a>, so you have to re-write it to the newer tags [url...] et cetera :thanks:

Not a major issue, just slightly annoying.

The upgrade & performance are great!

found the same, but it doesn't take long to convert

    • Slimline sub on the rear parcel shelf is doable. Pioneer TS-WX140DA is only 70mm high.
    • People like Johnny Dose Bro might be laughing at my post because I accidentally added 100mm to my numbers. 350-355 is indeed the lower limit. 450 is off-road Skyline spec.
    • What is the "compromise" that you think will happen? Are you thinking that something will get damaged? The only things you have to be concerned about with spherical jointed suspension arms are; Arguments with the constabulary wrt their legality (they are likely to be illegal for road use without an engineering certificatation, and that may not be possible to obtain). A lot more NVH transmitted through to the passengers (which is hardly a concern for those with a preference for good handling, anyway). Greatly increased inspection and maintenance requirements (see above points, both).   It is extremely necessary to ask what car you are talking about. Your discussion on strut tops, for example, would be completely wrong for an R chassis, but be correct for an S chassis. R32s have specific problems that R33/4 do not have. Etc. I have hardened rubber bushes on upper rear control arms and traction rods. Adjustable length so as to be able to set both camber and bump steer. You cannot contemplate doing just the control arms and not the traction arms. And whatever bushing you have in one you should have in the other so that they have similar characteristics. Otherwise you can get increased oddness of behaviour as one bushing flexes and the other doesn't, changing the alignment between them. I have stock lower rear arms with urethane bushes. I may make changes here, these are are driven by the R32's geometry problems, so I won't discuss them here unless it proves necessary. I have spherical joints in the front caster rods. I have experienced absolutely no negatives and only positives from doing so. They are massively better than any other option. I have sphericals in the FUCAs, but this is driven largely by the (again) R32 specific problems with the motion of those arms. I just have to deal with the increased maintenance required. Given how much better the front end behaves with the sphericals in there.....I'd probably be tempted to go away from my preference (which is not to have sphericals on a road car, for 2 of the 3 reasons in the bulleted list above), just to gain those improvements. And so my preference for not using sphericals (in general) on a road car should be obvious. I use them judiciously, though, as required to solve particular problems.
    • Easiest way to know is to break out the multimeter and measure it when cold, then measure all the resistances again once it gets hot enough to misfire. Both the original ignitor and the J Replace version. Factory service manual will have the spec for the terminal measurements.
    • Yes that sounds right. Cars currently in the shop for the engine work. Will need to remeasure .. but yes I think I must be targeting 45cm from fender.
