Starting to get real annoying the people who can discern the difference between flywheel and rear wheel power but can't do the same for torque

It's what ever power / torque figure that looks bigger on the ad

langham hotel is not worth $100 on sat night for dinner

$50 yeah sure, but not $100, even at $50 a head they would still make money

very nice place though

that's the buffet right?

I have difficulty with the concept of a buffet, just soo much food sitting round for sooo long.

let alone to pay 100$ for it.

just get a 5k SSS. if you want to mod, its cheap. service cheap. fuel efficient when you want it to be.

your 20k you save will be much more worthwhile in deposit than on car that will cost you more in service and insurance etc.

Lee, i'm gonna break it down for you reeeeeeal simple like..

NO ONE ON HERE WANTS TO BUY A FUCKING PULSAR!

Would imagine WA teachers get paid more due to cost of living being higher?

Most teachers I deal with (not WA) are on ~$75k

Don't but that's only the ones that are perm... the temp ones get jacked hard.

85k puts her in the top 20% income earners Australia and they get a large amount of holidays so really I don't think $85k is all that bad

I do agree however re nurses etc

#flamesuiton

I agree here Al.

Teachers are pretty quick to be on the union sook train... fo real

(and if I can keep a slow car stock :D(inb4 evo rage)ll

No rage here, I'm the first to complain that my Evo is slow

On another note an uninsured lady smashed into me missuz car about 6 weeks ago, we got a witness and her insurance has fixed her car at no cost all good and then today get a thing in the mail these plebs want to sue my missuz for $7k da Fark? Will insurance company handle this or do we gotta go court ourselves and argue this crap ? Amazing they couldn't afford insurance or to fix their car but can pay a lawyer

#godihatepoorpeople

define "thing in the mail"

still havent tried it on 19psi yet

RWC booked in wednesday

Fuck you are a fucking pansy.

DRIVE IT

Starting to get real annoying the people who can discern the difference between flywheel and rear wheel power but can't do the same for torque

this... so f**king much this!

especially v8 owners that go on about how their 300kw car makes 900nm and will NOT back down when corrected

I hate buffets especially when I can see some unhygenic flamin mongrel itch his face and proceed to pick up food

this... buffets are just large quantities of bad food with people's skin/blood/pus/hair/fingernails/saliva/flu germs all over it

feels a crapton more refined and well setup vs the skyrine

obviously 1997 vs 2004 is a big difference, but in terms of the overall car itself, forgetting about power, i really like it

everything works, feels new, smells new, drives really tight - i think the evo's in general are a great car

really happy i didnt pursue a 34R over one of these

cost aside, i still think it might have felt (the 34) a bit old and tired

I think buffets are good if you like seafood and duck...everyone else gets screwed by the average meal cost being brought up by these items.

I don't like seafood, so have decided I'm no longer doing them and m subsidising for someone else to have two dozen oysters (Alvin knows my feel). I usually end up having the roast meats, duck, Indian food, degustation style entrees and desserts. But I think I eat about $50 worth of normal restaurant food in all, cause I guess we forget that even though there's lots of variety, that doesn't mean you have the room to eat it all! And light weight people obviously have to pick up the bill for all the food that's going to be consumed by fatties too.

Melba and Conservatory always have nice foods and everything is very fresh tasting, I guess because they have dedicated chefs at each station cooking it on the spot.

Langham has a nice classic setting but last I went there was a public holiday and fk me it was over 100 a head not including drinks (I think non-alcoholic drinks should be free at this shit). Conservatory is contemporarily beautiful - could just about have a reception there with the all white decor. And their desserts are ridiculous. But yeah, from now on I'll be sticking to set meals and banquets.

Thing in the mail ham as in court summons with there version of events and what they are claiming, spoke to insurance company already they said they'll take care of it. I truly don't fancy there bottom feeder lawyer vs cgu insurance - poor bloke probably didn't get informed by his 'client' that insurance company have a witness to the accident so probably won't get far..

    • oh they were with that motor, you need to remove the engine to change the spark plugs (don't have to, but it does make it easier)
    • I certainly fall into the annoyed camp, but glad to hear that if it's happening at low boost then I'm not likely going to blow a turbo and end up with metal shards in my oil. Just feels like it prevents me from really driving it without hesitation and "peak" performance. Wonder if it's the VCAM, it did an impressive job of shifting the torque curve and faster spool, but maybe now it's "too fast" and there's too much air for how open the throttle is.  Based on some other threads, will also do some reading on synchronizing the actuators. They are the default actuators that come on the Garrett's and I would think they would be set the same coming from the factory, but if the turbos don't actually work exactly the same way at the same time as previously mentioned, it would be worth making sure the actuators are actuating together properly
    • I went down this rabbit hole before, ended up sourcing a motor from the UK (I'm in Japan) which also didn't function correctly. With the original motor, I disassembled it and reassembled it and it works somewhat, sometimes. What I could deduce from all my screwing around is that there is calibration of the gears on the inside of the motor and two ramps on the main gear which activate switches that operate the motor and move the sunroof either to retract into the roof or tilt. Where I got stuck was that, it seemed in my case that one or both of the switches that are activated by the ramp on the gear did not always activate and thus the motor did not move, causing it to sometimes not retract or tilt (apologies, I've forgotten which way it didn't work.).  Of course this part is discontinued at Nissan now, it's the same part in the S15 but no other models. I also contacted the manufacturer of the component for schematics - forgot the name, they're based in Gifu - but they declined to share the information due to being bound by an NDA, sadly. Looking through my pictures now, it seems I last had a crack at this in 2022. See, I so kindly wrote "open" and "close" next to the switches. If you figure it out, please do tell me. Those little switches, with the red buttons may need to be replaced.
    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
