Semi's fitted, boot full of e85... Bring on Sandown tomorrow.

I just hope I can wake up that early, I struggled to get up at midday today. :P

picking up some spare fuel on the way there, car desperatly needs a wash so quick rinse in morning, fuel and then fun times..

Oil change done, have 60L of E85, figured there's a station nice and close for top-ups if the car decides to last the full day, gonna go out there now and pack up a bunch of basic tools and stuff...

Clutch been slipping for a while then really badly last week or so. Pulled it out today. Pfft, plenty of meat left :P

not launching it hard enough

anyone know much about Nissan gearboxes? gloria has 4 speed auto RE4R03B. needs a shift kit pretty badly. some options:

1) Wholesale Automatics (and apparently Knox Automatics) do shift kits for the RE4R03A out of a patrol. might not be that dissimilar?

2) attempt to fit a M35 stag 5 speed auto and ECU, then try to source a shift kit.

also need to start thinking about diffs... R200 RC35 apparently. would be happy with a viscous or 1.5 helical/mechanical.

Y u no clutch diff?

clutch and mechanical same thing?

im guessing like everything else car related, theres no way to know if a diff centre will fit until you try to fit it? dont want to buy one and then its a no-go. reading about the long-nose and short-nose R200's

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
