I'm not a fan of the CLA in gernal, proportions look wrong. it kinda looks like a smaller AU falcon..

BUT when I saw a AMG CLA45 whole diff matter the skirts and body kit fix all the issues.

thing looks great.

Naw mang, buy a second hand Falcon GT for 50k - 1 year old, brembos, tune it for a grand got a mid 11 sec car chuck some semi slicks on and have some fun at the track if you want too.

Show me a comparable (new) car to this for 50k only other thing I looked at was the 335i but decided on a new GS instead. Then again I aint on dat dere baller spec cash like dezz. If you looking 100k why not just get a 35 GTR tune it on e85 with some mid pipes and be done with it.

Just research possible gearbox issues and what that might cost.. hell even rebuilding my gearbox costs a shitload!

"Hey Simon, what do you want for Christmas?"
"Money towards sway bars."
"I don't know what that is, but alright..."

Which sway bars should I be getting?

Are Whitelines Front and Rear Sway bars still the way to go? Will I need adjustable ones? 24mm? 27mm? What else is there to know about them? What are these end links and mount bushings that are on the Whiteline Website? Do I need them toooo?

http://www.whiteline.com.au/do_segue4.php?make=NISSAN&model=SKYLINE&model_final=SKYLINE+R33+GTS%2C+GTS-T+RWD&vehicle=1%2F93-12%2F98

I think I've already got slightly beefier ones than the GTST's came with, since I have the A-LSD model and a bunch of parts are tankier than usual...

Thanks in advance :touch:

(from pulsar experience with whiteline) non-adjustable are equivalent to medium settings on adjustable. The hardest settings are make the rear end pretty damn jumpy and I've spun out a few times when hitting uneven tarmac or something during corners.

with end links... the best:

(i dont know what length the R33 would want, the small ones fit the pulsar fine and kept the bar flat)

Cla is a bit of a stretch for a 4 cyl turbo. But has heaps of street presence, 265 kw fuel economy is actually in existence.. Full new warranty servicing etc financed. f**k those things go hard as well {style_image_url}/attachicon.gif ImageUploadedBySAU Community1386629514.469054.jpg{style_image_url}/attachicon.gif ImageUploadedBySAU Community1386629527.069145.jpg{style_image_url}/attachicon.gif ImageUploadedBySAU Community1386629537.984580.jpgThat's the work one lol {style_image_url}/attachicon.gif ImageUploadedBySAU Community1386629569.725000.jpg{style_image_url}/attachicon.gif ImageUploadedBySAU Community1386629585.007289.jpgBut in saying that, driving dat v8 507 around last week was such a pleasure! Really have a different appreciation after getting in one. The normal c63 (non 507) go for about $100k at auctions. And that's stretching it. Should look into that as an option. May end up walking away with something better for a lot cheaperAnd not sAying this as a biased opinion.. The depreciation of BMW is fkn shocking. The safety features on merc seriously outrank the rest. And I've tested that at sandown lol

C63 amg or normal? I'd love one if I could pick one up at auction cheap...I'd even settle for a sedan. But guessing lease wouldn't be an option?

Lease my brother with my work I get mad returns on tax out of it otherwise id be cruisin in a Kia fo real.

Cla isn't as good in real life IMO something about the back slope seems goofy / less elegant than full size cls

Still nice though

If you want something nice Dezz id say spend 50-70 you'll get a very nice low kms good nick prestige car for that and you won't wear the pain of the 50% price drop in first 2 odd years

More than open to suggestions... I'm sure there's plenty of cars in the market I'm looking at that I don't even know about

You driven one yet?

Nope

just get a fezza dezzmang bitch magnet

Hopefully one day...

You'll get a c63 sedan under a 100k just kms might be on the high side so you gotta think about maintenance lack of warranty if something breaks etc

Suggestions are hard what's main criteria?

    • I don't think the shuffle can damage the turbos. It only happens at low shaft speeds and loads. It's just annoying (to some people - others are tickled by the effect) and it quite possibly reduces spool performance a little bit.
    • Oh dear. The panel beating needs to be done before the filler work. Do you have a photo of the dent before you started? Hard enough to not flex and only hit the high spots?  What do you mean it was just temporary?
    • Can u check this way it works for power supply?
    • These coils draw 10amps that what i read online
    • I appreciate the detailed explanation, think I understand now. I spent the better part of last night reading what I could about shuffle and potential solutions. I had replaced the OEM twin turbo pipe with an alternate Y pipe that is separated further away from the turbo. The current one is from HKS and I had a previous pipe that was separated even further away, both have shuffle. I had heard that a divider can be welded in to the OEM pipe to remove turbulence, and figure that aftermarket pipes that are more separated would achieve the same thing. From what I read, most people with -10 turbos get shuffle due to their size, though it's a bit less common with -5s on a standard RB26. I think Nismoid mentioned somewhere it's because OEM recirculation piping is common in Australia with -5 cars. It seems that the recommendation tends to vary between a few options, which I've ordered in what I think is most feasible for me:  1. Retune the MAP or boost controller to try to eliminate shuffle 2. Install OEM recirculation piping 3. Something called a 'balance pipe' welded onto the exhaust manifolds. I don't know if kits for this are available, seems like pure fabrication work 4. simply go single turbo My current layout is as follows: Garrett 2860 -5s HKS Racing Suction intake MAF delete pipes HKS racing chamber intake piping hard intercooler piping,  ARC intercooler HKS SSQV BOV and pipe Haltech 2500 elite ECU and boost solenoid/controller HPI dump pipes OEM exhaust manifolds HKS VCAM step 1 and supporting head modifications Built 2.6 bottom end All OEM recirculation piping was removed, relevant areas sealed off I'll keep an eye out for any alternative solutions but can get started with this.  Only other question is, does shuffle harm the turbo (or anything else)? It seems like some people say your turbo shafts will explode because of the opposing forces after a while and others say they just live with it and adjust their pedal foot accordingly.
