wta is a snore fest and is getting considerably worse each year, if I could have found somewhere comfortable I would have slept half the day.

The countries best cars, best drivers, a great track and facilities yet the on track action is non existent. They should just line up each class, give them each the track to themselves for 3 laps then we go spend the other half of the day watching the drifting and picking a winner out of the promo girls.

Well done Garth.

Well at least the R34 GTR I was driving just kept going and going, actually done the most laps out of any car at the event which is quote odd for a stock engine/turbos RB26. So at least I tried to keep the crowed entertained.

Watching time attack is a little slow if you or your team isn't involved, they can definitely improve on it as I'm sure in time it will get better. Some things to make it better I would suggest sector timing with light displays similar to the v8supercar top ten shoot out. A big screen to see this and if funds available to film the timing with in car footage. Cars that leak oil or smoke etc must be scrutineered prior to be allowed to head back out as this slowed the day, also caused most cars not to set a personal best or better their time, this was evident again in the last pro session as tilton and under Suzuki were sliding around from the class before them. The drifting was awesome to watch and I enjoyed the flying 500. Overall I enjoyed it and can see huge potential in it.

i must admit, being my first time attack, it was pretty boring.

best fun i had was walking around the pits and seeing all the cars and perving, then watching the drifting at night.

needs more action on track!! most likely not go next year.

anyone have pics of the girls? Lol

I thought is was a great show. Lots of prangs, and brocken cars and oil downs, hard to avoid and cleaned up pretty fast. Some highly strung cars though, so expected.

So the ARK R32 GTR that missed lasts years event has gone to the graveyard of cut up cars?

Alos, I have seen pics of the black Supra, Gorilla Ind or something. Always liked the car as it was quick and still looked like a street car....any idea how it ended up eating wall??? Major damage ?

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
