@blah_blah, I see you lurking there...

Oh hi!

Speaking of tax time...

Monday was, 3 days after we transitioned our accounting system to Xero, a day for Payroll to do their fortnightly thing... Got an email that went to everyone saying "Please be advised that there appear to be some anomalies in the tax being withheld and the accruals if sick or annual leave are taken. This is resulting in you receiving a slightly higher nett amount of pay this week. We endeavor to have this resolved shortly, and will be adjusted in the next pay run."

Fine, I've got no issue with that...

Nekminit, my Group Certificate shows up on my desk. So next pay run is actually next financial year... Fail

LOL fail

Stuck a camera in each exhaust port and found cylinder 6 had white valves... f**k. My. Life.

So what is the ratio between driving the car and off the road like for that car so far?

5 days on 361 days off?

Vicroads to introduce cheaper alternative to club rego, known as Gregistrafion. Allows you to drive your car for the one day a year they know you'll f**k it on. Logbooks not required.

Actually you'll find my car has been doing daily duties just fine for the last 6 months!

.... so I am very interested in this Gregistrafion going forward as it'll soon be relevant to my needs

Outage of what?

My Mobile and Foxtel and Cable has been fine

Mobile data. Office wifi (Telstra) also down, but is back now

I hit the wrong switch

Have now cancelled my plans to murder whoever was responsible

Birds. the spiral of skill and rerank is real once you start playing with gold novas again, sweet Jesus.

Thinking I might go down to silver 1 for lols and smurf for a bit

Need to work my way back to DMG/MGE!

Maybe we need a 5man wastelander csgo team

Mate you have no idea how bad silver is and how long it takes to get out of it; shit is like a prison.

You've seen I'm capable of keeping up with nova 3 at least and these fkers are holding me back. The problem is, you're coming up against teams of 5 who queue together and wanna work together, so you get placed on the "randoms" team with people who have no mics, no interest in ranking, spin/AFK at spawn or play loud music over mic...and it's pretty much up to you to win the game for them. I've lost the last 5 games since I got deranked to silver.

But happy for you to dive down into the murky depths of silver land and try to pull me out

I played cs ages ago and i still dont know what theyre talking about.

Steam sales have started. Will probably buy most of the 18 games on my wishlist. So cheap. Fark you exchange rate.

CSgo...it's cs but with ranks/matchmaking...teams of 5 where you actually work together (or are supposed to) for mutual benefit so there's a vested interest in teamwork.

what happened to the days of de_dust 32 players. That was chaos.

teamwork? thats not the CSGO i know. never played ranked.

if you come to the next big Respawn LAN ill play on your team. does CSGO have support roles? lol

You can still do that, in fact there is a deathmatch mode which makes it even more chaos...so chaotic in fact that as soon as you respawn you have 5 seconds in which you can't be shot because there are players already waiting to shoot you...

It's basically a game if quick draw

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
