I need to rewire the whole loom, now that it’s running fine, but the effort required is too much.

Diff oil needs changing, dash cam needs installing, AFR gauge needs calibration, sound system to fit etc.

Never ending & weekend-time is becoming more valuable to be spent worrying about problems lol

Yup this is why now i never do any work on the car and pay someone else to do it

I also use Airtasker for gardening lol

At least with the subaru everything is bolt on available and the car hasnt changed much since 2011 lol.
Wheels are def next for it, not a fan of the oem ones. Just dont get gloss black please. Gonna keep the same diameter or reduce 1"? They look a bit rubber bandy at the moment

Just realised you were talking diameter.

I'm still deciding, I kind of want to keep the same size 19s the only advantage of 18s is more tyre choice.. but then I feel downgraded ?

Wow. Those nitto invos are only ~$200 a corner.

RIP called the local Cobb tuner only to find out he has sliced his arm open and had it operated on yesterday.. out of action for who know how long!

Means I have to wait or go to Sunshine, da west side brah.

Lol I haven't given a shit about cars for years now. I ride mountain bikes which satisfies the need for constant modifying however

Could probably easily spend similar amounts of money though

Considered other tune files like Ecutek or something?

Some of them do that, I think Trent does etc. doesn't help me when I've already got the Cobb access port for off the shelf maps installed.

You chose Cobb for its e-fame?

If you do, it’s understandable.

Imo the whole point of buying a new car is that you shouldn't need anything more than off the shelf maps, if you want it wildly modified. Why buy new when you can get something older, spend the same money as the new car and get way more performance.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
