RIP
The more I read about the EJ the more I cringe
I mean the Focus RS was the other option [emoji14]
But the rumble is good!

Oh, the 205 survived and is still running last I was told of not long ago.

You have 255, you’ll be fine.

When that happens you've pushed too hard or royaly f**ked up.

What happened in the second? Looked like lift off but then the ripple strip kind of pulled you in like a vacuum lol

Spins are such an oh shit moment, buckle in for the ride ?

The line i tried to take was a bit tight and i lost the rear + probably a few km/h too quick without any rear wing. Was lucky to get away with that. I used to try take that chicane at 160-170, after that i revised my entry speed to 150-160.

The first one was just a few km/h too fast and too much kerb, luckily the front left wheel was still on the tarmac and provided enough grip to flick it the other way.

Was that with proper LSD Billiam?

Kerbs are not really your friend on a racetrack. Not really. They do stuff like that more often than they don't, every track has a couple of 'safe' ones and yeah the rest uh.... avoid to .. avoid stuff like the above happening!

Would dispute the more often than not. Ive done a few hundred laps around Sandown over the years and i only climb the kerb on the right of the chicane and the kerb at dunlop corner (last right). Have spun once due to the kerb and it was more a combination of too much entry speed and too much kerb.

Anyway less car talk, more wasteland.

Kerbs might be a problem when you have 11th million KW.

but when you have little kerbs are your friends, cutting corners and using outside corners to catch sideways momentum = faster lap times.

I think the slipperly concrete outside of final turn sandown is about the only one I don't touch.

11-15% fee for bidding?? Why wouldnt the seller cop this fee, not the buyer?
Is it repo or something?

It's the same at all car auctions, pickles, mahinnins and such do same, all auctions I've watched in US are the same,

It's the same vintage scheme NRMA to RACV, and I'll no doubt lose it come time to renew. People in the insurance thread have been complaining about their insurance refusing to renew etc. People indeed f**ked it up, insuring pieces of shit that got stolen or written off and now they won't touch them on the vintage insurance schemes. They base the savings on the vehicle being a weekender and spending 1/4 the time on the road as a daily driver. What they didn't account for originally is the rate at which people become detached as owners of these cars...

Renewal just came through on my 33R - 350 premium now but still 30k agreed without engine. Thought they were canceling these policies for Skylines...not even gonna challenge the figures!

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
