Lol. Sure I'll move to Sydney NOT.

Think about all the gearboxes I can buy with all these savings lol

That's a very big point you left out LOL

For some reason, it's double in Sydney. And I used to complain when CTP hit $500. I'm pretty sure I was paying $300-odd when I first got the GT-R.

I'll dig through some paperwork and make a graph.

way over 25, country/rural area, QBE $443.  Not bad rort, I've never claimed and am unlikely to so they will get +$20K out of me and I have three registered, so +$60k for my driving life.

All for some con artist to stage an accident with his uncle and claim $5 million for a sprained toe!!!

My rego's due soon so I thought I'd check prices. Evo 6, Sydney north, max NCB, only couple of points gone. I just turned 30.

My quote last time was $900 - as mentioned they don't seem to adjust for driving record at all, the only variable yielding a discount for me was age. And now that I'm 30 I pay $150 less. It would be the same price even if I was barely hanging on with no comp and 1 point left on license. Madness.

I just did an online quote with GIO, got it down to $603 (NSW). I'm going to call AAMI and hustle them.

One year later, $507 (called up NRMA, they added VVC insurance and got a little discount)

Yep, my GTR this year in NSW was just under $500 which is a third of what I have paid for the last 15+ years. Is it aged based or have they just stopped ripping people off?

I think once it hit $800 people got the shits, NSW government had to sell the insurance companies to stop ripping us off.

Reverse economics V's Australian utilities (roads, power etc) ? Or will prices creep back up until they are 3 times now that it's privatised?

Hahaha crap, typo, s/sell/tell

Obviously the insurance companies are private. I should proof read. But yeah, it just kept increasing every year and they claimed (geddit?) it was the increased claims. Yeah right south-west Sydney isn't that dodgy.

Nope.
Still paying exorbitant amounts for mine.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
