  1. I'm aiming for 10:1 with a 26 head and Nitto +7cc dome pistons; depending on how much we have to remove from the head to do so keeping acceptable quench and HG thickness etc etc. should be interesting on E85. Can't decide whether to keep the GT-SS's or grab some -5s/2530s edit: the nitto pistons are actually JE's
  2. Have you tried a working igniter?
  3. awesome result. just out of curiosity did you try to add timing and lower boost in the top end while on the dyno to try pull IAT's down a bit? if so what happened?
  4. I would also be curious to know. Plazmaman items aren't cheap
  5. Nice result. What mods next? 150 shot on the stock motor? Haha
  6. damn that would be cool. Idle air valve delete too. cruise would be nice too. I could see some major headaches in getting that all working
  7. Boost controllers only let you turn boost up
  8. Oh look this thread again. GTR bobs are a good option too. People have run 25+ psi no issues
  9. I'm having a 30 bottom end built with the stock crank, forged Pistons and rods and the whole thing will come out to about half the cost of a stroker kit off the shelf
  10. Ebc really is the way to go. They are so cheap these days too it's really a shame to have such an awesome car with just a bleed tap. An Ebc can be configured to bring boost on earlier; gain setting (within reason, no beating physics here). They can also be configured to reduce boost tapering in high rpm for a flatter torque curve. You'd be silly to skimp on it. But that's just my opinion
  11. Sweet it should be better for e85 to a certain extent then as it doesn't need the efficiency that it would for 98
  12. Weird that they're all different. How does the 32 cooler go?
  13. Interesting. I wonder how far you could get on E85 with the stock cooler. I'm aiming for around 350+ and don't plan to swap out the IC unless I need to
  14. To be honest I think it's in your head just drive the damn thing
  15. You're best of leaving it alone to be honest. I know it's not what you wanted to hear but you're going to ruin the car that way. Sell the 480 on eBay or something and use that money to buy a nistune or Powerfc Ecu and go from there. Also ditch the atmo blow off valve for a standard one because the stock Ecu uses the airflow meter
  16. If you're thinking of spending some money on a tune there's a couple of things you should do beforehand. New fuel pump for safety more than anything. The stock ones aren't very good now that they're 20 years old. Dial in some extra boost with the tuner. 10 pounds isn't a whole lot these days and you're not maxing out the injectors yet. Edit: sorry I thought you said highflow turbo. You can't really go much higher than 10-12 psi on the stock turbo without risking damage
  17. Engine has been dead this whole time. All turbos are okay. Compression and leak down test will tell but I'm guessing either busted rings or HG
  18. have you CC'd the head?
  19. 0413 457 185 the number was on hypergearturbos.com took me 3 seconds
  20. Hey Scotty I've been meaning to buy one of those 40 micron stainless filters that seem to be the rage these days. Whereabouts do you get them? Thanks
  21. interesting. perhaps have the surface of the flange inspected
  22. yeah man buy right the first time
  23. eh you get over it quickly. If only it was a T51r
  24. I'm running a pod with an alloy 3inch intake... really wish it absorbed sound the way the factory airbox does
